If you're not content to pick up Gran Turismo 5 Prologue in stores on a fancy Blu-ray disc, Sony has uploaded the game on their shiny new PlayStation Network store. The download will set your hard drive back at least 1.9 GB and your wallet $40 (same price as retail).
While not initially available on the PSN version, you can download the intro and ending films at your leisure to view (the latter unlocked only after beating the game, natch). However, a documentary on the series, "Beyond the Apex," appears to be exclusive to the Blu-ray version for the moment.

Its a huge game for the ps3 and I'm sure it will do great without me.
I, like yourself, love a crazy ass arcade racer....their just adrenalin inducing. I've been a huge fan of the Burnout series till recently and I've always loved a good Sega racer. And yeah, if simulation is not your cup of tea, then don't bother with GT5 because it can be HARD.
It's a different flavor of racing. It's more sophisticated and definitely more challenging. That's what I love about it, the challenge wrapped up in this beautiful eye candy world. Sick!
I hear ya.
I recall coming home from work and my roommate was in the middle of a 45 minute race. I was like F that!!!lol.
Nobody mentioned Halo until you did ya jackass.
This game looks great, though tend to prefer the Burnout style. Less brain power involved ;P
Go back to your fanboy rants then. :P
Actually, I haven't bought it yet. :(
Wow... PS3 fanboys are pretty hostile lately... Why, did you 3 just get ripped off with this 40 dollar demo?
This game is friggin sweeeeeeet!!!
Any car lover is going to just love GT5P.
By the way, for audiophiles, check out the sound section in the options and switch it to small or large home theater. The soundtrack switches to this bassier crisp tune.
The car models are just insane...and beautiful. The graphics are photo realistic. Just amazing.
I love you Polyphony.

For car nuts like me, Gran Turismo is the Halo of racing games. Bar none.
/no
No, many car lovers (like me) prefer driving real cars over another boring "simulation" that has none of the sensation of driving. $40 will buy a night of go karting or the entry fee for a day of autocross, which is much more worth it in my opinion.
Go spend $40 on a night of go karting then, we don't care. These are games. You could make the same argument against most driving game, most sports games... hell, a whole lot of games.
How come Sony doesn't release a PS3 + GT5 w/ rumble bundle similar to PS2 days? That would really push units and I would've grabbed one for sure, even w/ GTA4 on the way. Another missed opportunity.

The full game(2009) will be Blu-ray material, this however is not. The videos have been stripped, and they get streamed, there is limited soundtracks..
My point is that the whole games on blu-ray thing is over blown, WAY overblown. Not saying their are no advantages, but they are marginal at this point in time. Now in 5 years, different story.

But I'm sorry I don't like to waste money on demos. Not a shot against Sony, I just don't buy demos.

This is a condensed version of the full game at a condensed price.
Your analogy = fail.
OHHHHH YEEEAHH!
But just because it's in 1080p doesn't mean it's new and fresh el serpiente
In other words, "stop trollifying."
Your right, it does go both ways.
You are dismissed.
Its time for you to head back under your bridge now.
