I could understand all the annoyance if it was something obviously missing from the game that they are forcing you to pay for, but knowing it was made before the game was released wont bother me as long as It adds something fun to the game.

Cant wait for this demo :D

wtf is the bullshit?! I'm tried of all these games having extra stuff done before the game even comes out, whatever happened to the philosophy of loading up the game for the release so that you had "an awesome game"? Now it's just, we'll release an OK game that gets better with more money.

This sounds like a job for...SARCASTIC GAMER!

I think I'm the only one still interested in this game due to it's long delay and the impending release of GTAIV. I think I'll be tired of GTA by the time this comes out in late August / early September... Is four months enough time to finish a Grand Theft Auto game???

This first sounded to me as if they'd been testing and prepping the DLC on LIVE and it's working fine.

Now, if it's already standing at wait for some set date in the future to be released for Mercenaries 2 purchasers, that's sorta different.

It's like..the prize for a cereal box is ready to go, waiting in some warehouse, even while the cereal itself is still being baked.

(Only in this case it's one of those 'mail-away' prizes that's not REALLY inside the box, it's like..a bowl or a light-up spoon or something you have to pay additionally for.)

I guess it's how things are done, but it does make you wonder about priorities sometimes.

I want Rice Krispies all the sudden..

In the 1st Mercenaries game you had to beat missions to buy cars, tanks, helicopters, and weapons, Mercenaries 2 it will cost you Microsoft points. I might just get Just Cause 2 instead. same type of game just comes out in September instead of August.

I hope these microtransactions are 108K file sizes to unlock content already on the disk, that'd be awesome!

As long as it's not ready for launch, I won't be too bothered. The GTA content is in progress already and peo0ple aren't complaining.

It's an enormous opportunity to make more money. Just put the stuff on the disc. This is the one thing that the Marketplace has really screwed up and Microsoft needs to get a handle on.

Now, here we go again, another boycott (smacks face), I can't wait though to try the demo, hopefully it will be better than the first one and hopefully I'll have money to pick up a copy.

demo sounds awesome, but the fact that the DLC is prepped before game release really gets me thinking that the full game isnt actually going to be that brilliant, and its going to tunr into anothe army of two :S but if this DLC is gunna cost, then they should tell us how much, or even better, it should be free!! we pay £40 or £50 for the actual game, and then i have to spend another £20 putting MS points on s i can buy stuff to actually make it into the game that its being made out to be!!
