Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm coming to PlayStation 3

We thought about going the standard route with Naruto game announcements and noting the lack of quality in most-to-all games based on anime series, but we'll admit the trailer had some doubting that for a second -- it actually looks better than the series itself. Still, gameplay is the ultimate decider, not to mention Storm would have a hard time breaking our "anime games" stigma.

I have a cousin who is a shinobi and I am disgusted with how this series portrays ninja as loud-mouthed and conspicuous.

This game looks so amazing ... Whether you like Naruto (or anime) you have to say that these graphics look exactly like a live action anime cartoon ... I have never seen anything like it ... I will def pick this one up

From all the abridged series out there this is one of the best and it is as good as Little kuriboh Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged.
Gantz:I’m going to ask why? Seriously I watched the series it sucked and the sh*tty techno intro is a torture. I don’t know if the version showed in Adult Swim is better because the original sucks.

If you ask me only Samurai X A.K.A Rurouni Kenshin and Robotech are the only series that have enough story to make a good game. Getbackers and Gundam Wing aren’t bad either but I believe I’m stretching it.
I was going to say Inuyasha but that anime never had a story, like Naruto the filler killed the series for me.

...blarg. Anyway, the double post obviously wasn't on purpose. :( My apologies. But to clear up any confusion, here we go with a quick synopsis:
BERSERK... Great story(thus far), to which I'm amazed and glad that it didn't catch domesticated licensing hell here. There was SWORD OF THE BERSERK game on Dreamcast ages ago, and then a very difficult PS2 game that never made it here.
GANTZ... Personally, I'm not a fan of the series, but from what I did view of its premise; it at least would make a decent videogame. Or a rental. -shrug-
A.C.E.3... Sorry I didn't spell out the acronym, I was typing quick before signing off prior. It stands for ANOTHER CENTURY'S EPISODE; which actually isn't an anime itself, but does feature a mash-up of famous mechs/gundams from various animes. If you've got a moment, it's worth reading about-

TRIGUN MAXIMUM... Even though I liked the Trigun anime, Maximum's story thus far has been a lot better(and violent). It'd be amazing to use this in-development Naruto game's graphics toward this. As for COWBOY BEBOP, it's a classic on every level. I think there was a PS2 game for it, but I'm told it was mediocre like LUPIN THE THIRD's PS2 game(but not as bad as the rushed SAMURAI CHAMPLOO game).
NINJA SCROLL... I'm surprised you haven't heard of it, but it's also a classic. A lot of the animators from this anime movie also worked on the NeoGeo game, SAMURAI SHODOWN/SPIRITS. A little melodramatic on the scenes with Jubei/Kagero, but the action sequences are incredible.
As for those you mentioned at the end, SAMURAI X/RUOUNI KENSHIN did have an okay PS2 game; but I recommend checking out THE LAST BLADE 1 & 2. It was inspired by RK and the animation technique from this fueled development on the FATAL FURY: MARK OF THE WOLVES game. ROBOTECH/MACROSS already has a *bunch* of game titles out there(BATTLECRY was the last decent one I played); and as mentioned earlier, A.C.E.3 does feature the veritechs from that series.

ACTUALLY. The voice cast doesn't suck at all- they were even hand picked and trained by the creator to do the english dubbing. I'll post the link to that when I can.

The intros are good but the show sucks. No offense but I thought Inuyasha exaggerated with the abuse of filler but damn Naruto is based on the abuse of filler,I have never seen such abuse of empty spaces.
People still wonder if Sasuke is ever going to fight against Naruto again in a fight that doesn’t sucks and the show in Japan is currently in season 11 or 12,the manga is in I don’t know 15 or something.
I'm watching Naruto just because is free on youtube and because I want to know if they are going anywhere with the series or is the same fiasco most Animes have pulled through the years with the series ending in nothing or in a last minute ending .
I believe Yu-gi-oh GX season 4 was the only show that ended right on schedule and that was because it was rushed due the release YGO 5D

To all the haters: watch any of Shippuuden's latest combat scenes, and you'll see just how excellently crafted they are. I know that Shippuuden is not officially in US yet. Oh and about the "screaming kiddie ninjas", duh thats what untrained shinobi do....(SOURCE: ur face) But really watch these 'kids' grow up and they become badass....it's like.........DB:DBZ AS NARUTO:NARUTO SHIPPUUDEN./DONE

uh...not really, actually, in Naruto's case, I prefer the manga by FAR.
Seriously, the anime lacks the detail that the manga has, hell, up to date, the most noticeable difference for me was the battle against Haku and Zabuza.

never trust ur face, that's an awful source. so are they still untrained shinobis in Shippuden? because even then, where they are supposed to be already grown, they still go screaming around...
There are much better animes out there if what you want is a true character development, I can understand if it being read just for fun or heck, even because of the storyline (yah, ninja series are not found that often), but because of character development or because of the battles? ugh...even One Piece has better battle scenes...

I read the manga... 4 years ago when it was fan translated. It was good, I should start reading it again.
I saw pieces of the localized show... I'm pretty sure I don't like the voices... maybe I just have to get used to them.

You mean like the fight at the end of season 11 when Sasuke pretty much bit*h slapped everyone and naruto was just standing there like a r*t*rd.
Yeah that fight was awesome *Rolls eyes.
The fight against Orochimaru wasn’t that bad except for the fact that the special episode was just a damn staring contest, it wasn’t until the next episode they did something. Too bad the fight only lasted 5 minutes.
I have to say that there are good anime but Naruto isn’t a good example.

and the only reason I think you guys seek other anime (Trigun, Cowboy bebop=awesome) is because you feel as though they are classics, and not many people knew about them...so you think the anime is special.
I call that the "pokemon effect". What pokemon has done to the anime genre is similar to what EA is doing with its gaming franchises...milking them, getting its name out there. Pokemon was the shit back then (you know it was) but we grew out of it because it offered nothing new. (again EA)
With that being said, any anime that is popular with the masses, is unpopular with YOU; you all feel as though your unpopular anime that barely made it over to US (that's right) is an "teh ultimatez elitorz..ohhz" (ok not exactly like that)
But again....GUM-GUM Pun--aahhh shut that shit up, OP is garbage!

Yeah this is it. A few weeks ago they announced the name "storm", replacing the untitled ps3 project. I figure it was delayed because they let the consumer pick the name for the game on their website. They are also holding voting to allow consumers to vote on the box art.

WOW...I watched this video in HD and it is pure beauty... I never paid attention the Naruto series but this trailer makes me want the game. The cell shading in this game is by far better than anything I've ever seen. I didn't know they could make cell shading look better than the actual animes themselves. This puts Dragon Ball Z Burst Limit to shame...Don't get me wrong, Burst Limit looks good but the Naruto game is in a league of its own.

I liked the visuals of Naruto: Rise of a Ninja for Xbox 360, but the character models didn't look as good as this. The outdoor scenary looked far better, but the models weren't as good. (They shouldn't have used cell shading in my opinion.) This game holds promise, and it does look as good, or perhaps better than, the anime. And this is coming from a Xbox 360 fanboy.

I have to say, Naruto is one of the most overrated pieces of trash in anime today (right next to Haruhi and Lucky shit). With that said, the visuals look amazing. Seriously you have to look closely to tell that it's a screenshot from the game not the show.
It's nice to finally see the next step in cel-shading. Hopefully we'll see it applied to a better anime series.

The zoomup of Naruto holding the blue glowing ball (Rasengan if I remember correctly? been forever since I cared about Naruto) kinda goes to show that either
a) town navigation and battle renders in differing quality, or
b) those initial shots were just bullshots.
With the expressions and all that it still looks good, just not nearly as good as the true-to-life anime that I thought they were doing with those initial few shots. Still looks really nice once it's in motion though.

I'm tellin ya. Give OnePiece another look and you'll be hooked to the point where you wanna find out what happenes within each episode after the other. Watch the sub titled eps, or the Funimation dub if you can, whenever.
One Piece has one of THE best character development I've seen in a LONG ASS while. The show is suppose to be "goofy" at times but it can turn serious at an instant. Especially during "boss" battles- because with each ark theres a huge build up to the fights and with each ark the bulid up is more and more and more but the fights are ALWAYS awesome in the end. Please, give OnePiece another look. An unbiased look.
