Anyone tried Broken Mirror yet? I'm on the fence...
Phranctoast @ Apr 17th 2008 3:28PM
kind of stopped playing Warhawk altogether after UT 3 and COD4 came out.
Not that I dislike it in the least. I only have time for so many online games.
el serpiente @ Apr 17th 2008 4:02PM
Umm, that's nice. Thanks for the update. Anyone tried Broken Mirror yet?
Vidikron (FU) @ Apr 17th 2008 4:41PM
I will in about an hour an a half. Do you still play Warhawk? If so, why are you on the fence? I think this is going to be a great addition. I love the idea of having an APC that acts as a mobile spawn point.
el serpiente @ Apr 17th 2008 4:54PM
Well, between GTA5P now (if it ever finishes downloading), and GTA4 soon...
I still play once in a while, but I didn't think Omega Dawn was worth it. Some solitary jackass always just takes off with the drop ship leaving everyone standing around scratching their virtual balls...
Vidikron (FU) @ Apr 17th 2008 4:57PM
Hah... yeah, it sucks when that happens. Fortunately, since the APC is a spawn point that won't be able to happen with it.
Also, have you played at al since the 1.3 patch? The addition of that wrench to fix vehicles makes a surprisingly good difference. It's nice to be able to hop out of your vehicle after a fight and fix it. One cool trick you can do in the tank is having a passenger in the top hatch with the wrench... they can pop out and hit the tank with the wrench and fix it on the move or in the middle of a fire fight. Good stuff.
KingOfGods @ Apr 17th 2008 3:09PM
I popped lair back in to try the analog controls and it did help but I learned that I still hate that game.
FOXHOUND @ Apr 17th 2008 3:16PM
So... don't even bother with a rental, eh?
KingOfGods @ Apr 17th 2008 3:20PM
When I'm playing i feel things are going to happen no matter what I do. I can never find my way around because objectives are not clearly marked and all the dragons (good or bad) look the same from a distance.
el serpiente @ Apr 17th 2008 3:22PM
They really need to give those dragons team jerseys, maybe the next patch...
Tiptup300 @ Apr 17th 2008 3:18PM
That video is filled with tons of epic win and a buttload of lmaomizine.
PojoMofo @ Apr 17th 2008 3:24PM

"That's why simulation and sports games FAIL ..."
If sport games fail, why is Madden top 10 in software sales every year. You may not like sport games but you have to admit that it sales.
Evan @ Apr 17th 2008 3:25PM
"real driving simulators"?
LOL! Gran Turismo is about as "real" a driving simulation as Mario is a plumbing simulation! I've autocross raced, go karts, and I've driven a Porsche around a racetrack. Gran Turismo doesn't have any of the feel of real driving, I would never call it a "real driving simulator".
Nate @ Apr 17th 2008 3:50PM
Yeah yeah, we've all driven cars before (well, I guess, those of us of driving age). I'm sure it's not perfect, but I bet it's a lot closer than anything else out there. And of course, nothing can approach the real thing, with G-Forces and real road feel.
They said it was a simulator. Simulation - similar. I would call it similar. I don't think I'd call Mario Kart similar (which is not at all to say mario kart isn't freakin' fun).
Bryant @ Apr 17th 2008 4:18PM
Didn't know they let retards in the race tracks.
ill trooper @ Apr 17th 2008 5:15PM
Evan, maybe you got so hyped up when you typed all that you forgot what the word 'simulator' means.
Evan @ Apr 17th 2008 6:44PM
@Bryant
Just about anyone can go out on a race track. Instead of hiding in your house playing video games, you should try some of the activities in real life. Go out and drive a real car on a track. Play paint-ball with your friends (the exercise will do you good). LIVE FOR LIFE BY DOING THINGS IN REAL LIFE! Video games are fine for entertainment, but they should not be a substitute for real life activities.
Evan @ Apr 17th 2008 6:52PM
... That's why simulation and sports games FAIL - they are simulations of activities that you could (at least in some capacity) do in real life, so why not do them in real life!
Tiptup300 @ Apr 17th 2008 7:20PM
Didn't know they let retards in joystiq.
John McPoop @ Apr 17th 2008 7:25PM
Hey Evan
Last I checked not everyone is able to drive race cars around a track ... so we do it for fun in our house ... For you to insinuate that us gamers do not get of the house and do real activities is a bit of a cop out ... After all I workout 3 days a week studying american combat and fitness training ... Seriously Evan your in the wrong place to stereotype gamers ... And for your information Gran Turismo is as close to a driving simulator that exist ... I have rode dirt bikes, motorcycles, hot rods down the drag strip and even four wheelers all of my life so I know what real driving and racing is like ... Its a video game of course it isn't the real thing but I ask you WHAT THE HELL IS???? Your just trying to make yourself feel better by stereotyping everyone else ... Seriously Evan you need to look yourself in the mirror and figure out who your really are ... Who are you to say that anyone here uses video games as anything other than entertainment and an ESCAPE FROM REALITY ... we don't all have a porsche to drive down a racetrack you elitist prick ...
BIGGEN @ Apr 17th 2008 3:26PM
hey-aaay mr. kott-er
gotta love some travolta
J. Santiago @ Apr 17th 2008 6:32PM
Does anyone remember "Up your nose with a rubba hose"
Brian @ Apr 17th 2008 3:26PM
No Motley Crue unforunately. Something about submission process not being completed. That was the only thing I was looking for.
whistlepig @ Apr 17th 2008 3:46PM
so this was the big update and surprise ? warhawk and gt 5 which everyone knew about two weeks ago
Nate @ Apr 17th 2008 3:52PM
I think it was just GT5P and the new store....
glitched @ Apr 17th 2008 3:54PM
the surprise was from konami, not from sony.
JakubK666 (Ninja Defence Force) @ Apr 17th 2008 3:51PM
In before the "demo" flame war.
el serpiente @ Apr 17th 2008 4:04PM
That's happening a few doors down.
Tony @ Apr 17th 2008 4:03PM
GT5P and Warhawk Expansion are nothing compared to PixelJunk Monsters Encore! I need me some PJM!!
How about a fix for DTS-MA HD, also?
skidawg @ Apr 17th 2008 4:11PM
is that pixel junk monsters expansion out yet? i can't wait for that one either
Tony @ Apr 17th 2008 4:13PM
No, PJM Encore is not out yet...and I'm getting the shakes. I need that PJM crack!
jaredgood1 @ Apr 17th 2008 4:15PM
Dammit. Okami vs. Broken Mirror. Well, I guess I could just forgo sleep...
el serpiente @ Apr 17th 2008 4:25PM
Go get okami for $5 in the used PS2 section. Waggle is not worth another $35.
jaredgood1 @ Apr 17th 2008 5:17PM
I'm getting both, it's just a question of what to play first.
Besides, waggle might not be worth $40 but the combination of widescreen, IR control for the paintbrush, not having to put up with the PS3s issues with PS2 Pro Logic 2 games over HDMI, not having to dig my PS2 out of my closet, supporting the game publisher rather than the game seller, helping support more core-focused games on Wii, and my elitist views on used products in general makes it worth $40 to me.
el serpiente @ Apr 17th 2008 5:26PM
RIGHT ON, BRO!
ill trooper @ Apr 17th 2008 6:57PM
Jared, that is an honest answer and philosophy that I (unfortunately) completely understand and follow myself. Probably the reason I have tons of gadgets and packages laying around that I don't need.
skidawg @ Apr 17th 2008 4:41PM
another question for you since you seem to be in the know.....i've beaten every PJM level and also beaten them all with rainbows (ie. perfects) except i haven't gotten a perfect on the level with the path shaped like a T called double team or something. is there any special ending for getting rainbows in all stages that you know of?
ThornedVenom (Harley Quinn Defense Force) @ Apr 17th 2008 5:07PM
Hey, that song is pretty catchy. ^^
John McPoop @ Apr 17th 2008 7:32PM
QUESTION TO EVERYONE
Has anyone been able to get a damn Konami ID???? After downloading the Beta for 3 hours, installing it for another 45 minutes and downloading the stupid patch for another 2 hours or so I was unable to play anything because the stupid ass Konami ID website is completely locked up ... What gives?? ... has anyone had success ....
