Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Metal Arms now available on Xbox Originals

We know you're keen to see what super spy Sam Fisher was up to before he started digging Linkin Park CDs into his wrists, so we wholeheartedly suggest you check out what many consider to be his best espionage entry, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. And if you absolutely can't find it on Xbox for less than 15 bucks, know that it's now available on the Xbox Originals download service.

If you'd rather not choke terrorists or contemplate why nobody can see a man with a Christmas tree on his head, Metal Arms: Glitch in the System should provide your "shoot first, shoot some more and then forget what you were going to ask" fix. Other fixes include (but are not limited to) "robots," "gun-toting robots" and "gun-toting robots shooting gun-toting robots." It's $15 (1,200 MS Points) for this one too.

If I didn't have the 20G HDD, I'd probably download Metal Arms, because when I was looking for that a couple of years ago, I couldn't find it. Of course, I was too lazy to pick it up online...

Just a quick reminder that Linkin Park is not "Emo", as you've seemed to associate them with individuals who cause self harm. Linkin Park is my favorite alternative rock band and I'd appreciate it if they were not marked in "that" genre.

They are kind of emo, also they are not alternative rock at all.

True, I'll agree with that. I still don't think that they should be labeled under that genre though - look at hybrid theroy and meteora. Minutes to midnight is really the only "Emo" sounding CD....

Either way it's not really a big deal, I guess I just got a bit fired up about it because there my favourite band...and I don't want to be labeled in "that crowd" :P

Let's see...band that screams a lot and/or whines and cries about how hard his life is/was. That sounds pretty emo to me.

Just cause they mask some of it with rap (and not very good rap) doesn't mean it's not emo.

Perhaps the first two albums weren't emo but Minutes to Midnight is where Linkin Park sold out. Come on, the most popular song is about a guy cutting himself.

Fallout boy's popular and sells a lot too, and I think the consenus between straight men is that they fucking suck. Bad analogy there, sales doesn't always = good.

Needs more discussion about how awesome Metal Arms is and less whining about what is and isn't emo.

I just booted up Metal Arms and it's okay. Still holds up pretty well today I wounder how the multiplayer feels.

If I didn't still have my GCN version, Metal Arms would be an immediate buy. Incredible game, definite buried treasure. The lack of a sequel causes me to cry myself to sleep every night.

Pandora Tomorrow is the best Splinter Cell game. Not to say Chaos Theory was bad, but Chaos Theory and Double Agent don't even enforce stealth on you. It was way better when you couldn't run and gun your way through half the levels. I'm actually looking forward to the new one, because the Assassin's Creed-like crowd stealth could bring some cool stuff to the game. And the new game isn't emo just because Fisher has terrible looking long hair.

Metal Arms, very underrated game last gen, I enjoyed it.

Also think that SC:CT was the best SPlinter Cell.

However, the games are too expensive and take up too much valuable HDD space

You know what else was an underrated game (at least in terms of sales). Beyond Good and Evil.

That game was tops man.
