Adventure hero Zak McKracken (sort of) returns

Right, so there's good news and bad news for fans of LucasArts' comedy adventure Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders. First the good: A group of fans has just released the slick-looking Zak McKracken: Between Time and Space, available for free after seven years in development. The game features 3D models, high-res backgrounds, the works.

The bad news? ... Well, it's in German. That's pretty much all the bad news, but for an adventure game isn't that pretty much all the bad news you need? The team is reportedly working on an English version, but for now, we're just going to have to trust our German friends for an assessment of the quality. So? Ist es gut?
