When the power goes out on Joystiq's mid-Atlantic hoverbase, we often use
Monopoly to pass the time, or at least we did until we realized that every game ended after four hours with the board being flipped and somebody (usually Chris) getting punched in the face. This morning, EA announced that we wouldn't have to wait for an outage to start throwing fists: The company will bring the real-estate game to Xbox 360, Wii and PS2 this fall.
This is apparently a sped-up version of the original game, with some new interactive minigames thrown in. We hope we can use waggle to hammer eviction notices to the doors of our slums. But that's just us. Oh, and just so we can cut this discussion off at the pass: No, there's no PS3 version announced. We trust PS3 owners can scrounge up $12.99, directions to their local Toys 'R' Us and a tabletop without our aid.

As for the game itself, I'm kinda surprised it didn't hit the handhelds over the consoles. But as someone stated earlier... paying anything over $12-15 for this isn't worth it when you can just get the board game or travel versions.

Next step: Scrabble for Wii using DSes as controllers so each player's pieces are invisible to other players'.

But thanks for missing the point!
I get your point and I love my Wii as much as the next gamer but you have to admit that unlike the 360 it seems like the ratio between shovelware to quality games on the Wii is significantly higher on the Wii.
Sure there are a few random wtf games on the 360 but the sheer amount of bs games that comes to the Wii each week is hilarious.
Plus even if the 360 had the amount of shovelware the Wii had it ALSO has an EQUAL amount of high caliber/high quality games that have been released already and that will be released in the future.
Bottom line is that Nintendo's console is once again a ship loaded with cartfuls of random fugly stones with a few hidden and very precious gems scattered throughout the cargo bay.
Hence why I own one and why I support it despite the lackluster online and other features that grind my gears...
That's all I can add to this. Oh and I lol'd at Samfish.

I know someone who always has like 3 or 4 secret stashes.
It's always funny when they want to buy somewhere & think they can't afford it, then remember their stash when it's too late.
