Finally get to unlock this bad boy and start playing the game again. (Didn't want my rank 'cheevs out of order, I'm about 10k from Officer)

AHAHA, the fixed my "xp farming" glitch? I figured it would after all the attention it got. Just don't install the update, stay ofline, farm and then update. Or I could post a new video for a new spot I found for "xp farming."

Butttt... perhaps I'll just keep it quiet for a few friends of mine so everyone will quit bitching.

Ah and before you guys get pissy, I've been through the ranks 3 different times. The first of which was completely through terrorist hunt with the exception of the last rank (don't you love it when stores break the release date by nearly 10 or more days?)

Also there is a second method for teleporting that does not require a shield or the pop-up glitch. You should check out my video, though I will not be telling people how to perform it because I don't want it getting fixed hah.

Surely you could just clear your 360's cache to remove the update, farm, reset, update again and then play online if you wanted to... Still suppose it stops some people :S

Yep, of course as I had said in my post and on the videos you could simply wait to install said patch or delete it from your cache if/when they updated it.

Also apparently the update didn't add the option to change your outfitting while in observation mode. Quite annoying, luckily I don't really play this game so often.

I know!!! In terrorist hunt, baddies just APPEAR in front of your face!

My "fix" is to imagine that we're actually fighting aliens who teleport in from another dimension. Then it seems plausible.

yeah this has been a course of constant frustration for me, not having the reaction time of a cat (or a 13 year old). Maybe it'll be sorted and just not mentioned, who knows, but surely it was a little too ridiculous to miss.

When they spawn out of sight things can get more scary... In Dante's I was doing T-hunt with a friend, he was out of respawns, and I was at the bottom of some stairs when a guy comes out at the top of them alone. I killed him, then about 10 more terrorists charged out =S

my /yawn was at anticrawl's love of glitching - so juvenile.

i haven't been playing this game because i've been waiting for the patch (so my 'cheevs weren't out of order), and i'm very excited for it, evidenced by the fact that my site is credited as the source for this ;>

Glitching is juvenile? Ha, without people to bring public attention to said bugs they'd never be fixed. Without my videos and several clones I doubt the points glitch would have been fixed so quickly. And without my buddies and I finding so many bugs in the COD4 beta, reporting them, posting videos and using them so much in the beta game I doubt they would have gotten fixed before release as well.

Not only that but games get boring after a while, hunting for little quirks in the game adds a whole new dimension of fun to the game that wasn't there before. No need for name calling. If you don’t like glitching you should keep it to yourself, I share for the people who want to know. I don’t go around in games and force my views on people; I’m just making them available for people who are interested.

"Team Deathmatch Respawn Modification"

Boo! That was why I play Team DM instead of straight DM.

With fixed spawn-points you have a 'safe zone' to regroup with your team.

With random spawn-points there's nothing preventing you from appearing right in front of (or to their frustration, behind) enemies.

True, but what is better are games based on rounds without unlimited respawns like shadowrun or gears of war. If COD4 would... well if it wasn't a WWII shooter with new guns and sprinting it'd be good. Modern Warfare my ass. Running out into the open and tossing grenades in the air doesn't really work in modern warfare, probably was quite common in WWII though.

Me neither. This is very frustrating. I haven't played the game in ages, but I got excited with the patch, I guess that was overzealous thinking.

Ok, so I finished a checkpoint and the achievement popped... Just replay the first mission on Realistic and hit the checkpoint... You should get it!

Thanks B Tizo. I did the first scene on realistic and got it a few seconds after I started the "Ambush" scene. I played it originally through with a buddy. Both of us didn't get it, but he got it on our second playthrough, and this was before the patch. Weird.

Well I'm glad they've FINALLY patched it. I'll pop the disc in to pick up the PFC achievement but that's it. While I enjoyed playing through the game, it's been a major disappointment.

And I still can't understand how a game can ship with broken achievements and obvious problems. Who tests these things??
