Neither Galaxy nor Brawl are your typical Mario fare. In fact, I don't think you've even heard their soundtracks, which would lead me to believe that you're a bit of a fool for condemning something you haven't even experienced. I hope thats not the case.

Youtube 'Wind Garden'. Then, search for 'Bouy Base'. See if you can hunt for a few more Galaxy themes - you'll be yearning for the soundtrack before the end of the day.

And from a combat sense, Brawl may not be the deepest fighter, but #1, that's part of it's allure, and #2 that doesn't prevent it from being one of the most content rich games in recent memory.

And, it's got a fucking amazing soundtrack ranging from fan favorites to a surprisingly high number of remixed obscure themes. Like I said, you shouldn't bash if you don't know. :]

Technical Achievement... I have no idea. I don't buy games for technical achievement... I buy them to play.

You are entirely correct that games like mass effect tend to have much more narrative based stories, and more movie like qualities. But that doesn't make them the only good kind of game. Actually I really enjoy that kind of game, but I can also have a lot of fun with something like warioware. One isn't incompatible with the other.

I've had some awesome, memorable experiences with story based games, but I've also had a great time playing warioware or mario kart with friends. And as for mario galaxy, there is probably no better VIDEO game to play with a wife or girlfriend.

YOU are under no obligation to have any interest in Wii style games at all, but the fact they aren't your style of games doesn't make them inferior or kiddy.

really? cause I always thought that a true hardcoregamer, was someone who played games regardless of the subject matter, because they're fun.

I love you guys(well most of you) but this elitism has got to stop. Well face it, and face it straight. Nintendo has been "King of the Hill" for quite a while now- since launch actually, and it hasn't slowed down by much at all. Pretty much from what I've been reading for months here is that only the people who are bound to their loyalty to the other 2 systems doesn't want Nintendo to be in the position they're in. Just because.

Sony fucked up and did so royally each time someone from the company opened their mouth earlier during the PS3s launch and more months afterwards. Why do you think so many people got "retired" or "left to expand their notions with other companies"?? Its only currently that Sonys been trying now to kiss on the shoes of gamers to purchase their things again (besides the loathsome Sony faithful) like how the PS2 was/is by using stupid propaganda, marketing stunts, hype websites, and a bunch of other mess. Recently was the Amazon.com bit for GTA4. ,'=/

Microsoft has their problems too, but ya know- I'd rather buy a system from them. I really would. Matter of fact I'm saving up for one. Maybe its because I don't know the company that well or anything, but the company itself hasn't been so negative or as negative as Sony has been IMO. Atleast outwardly to be quoted on many times.

I can accept the Wii being not to a ot of gamer's tastes, but the DS is an awesome system, and it has a lot of games from every genre and age range. I think the buttons and the d-pad on the DS rock.

I imagine you aren't od enough to have a job or a family if you think the Wii doesn't have enough games to keep a gamer occupied...

I can understand saying the Wii doesn't have many awesome games (even though I recently posted a list of the 21 good Wii games I own and can own a few more than that) but saying the DS isn't a gamer's system is downright dumb.

GTA is adding far far more detail than brawl did...far more. If you don't care for spoilers just look at the direct feeds or the main thread in neogaf.

Really though it's kind of dumb to say the amount of stuff added to each game is equal.

The online multiplayer is busted in brawl, and won't be in GTA (outside of the first couple days which admittedly will be hell)

I want to list a lot of the extra stuff that's been revealed for 4 in the last day but I probably shouldn't since they can be considered spoilers and I'd rather not get banned.

Brawl just added a lot more kind of useless things to unlock, sort of like how everyone says achievements are useless these are no different.

Hearing your posts so far it doesn't even sound like you've played Brawl or even have any interest in it, in which case it is completely unfair comparing the two games. You'd be surprised at the number of upgrades between Melee and Brawl though... I certainly wouldn't put it past you to assume that there are none, though, knowing your prior post history.
