What're 200 points worth to you? Wait, don't answer yet, because a new DLC pack for Lost Odyssey released today may just change your whole perception of the value of a point. The "Triple Bonus Pack" adds "'Memory Lamp,' which allows you to watch the past event scenes all over again, 'Shattered Bond,' an antique that will bring back the memory of a forgotten dream, and a special ring, 'Killer Machine,'" all for 200 points ($2.50). Now, we don't know what any of those words meant, but they sounded awesome.
Also, just as a reminder, the "SSC Challenge" pack for Army of Two also arrived today for 600 points on XBL or $7.50 on PSN. If you sample any of today's DLC, make sure you let us know if they're worth the digi-dollars in the comments.

So the Lost Odyssey DLC is essentially paying for the ability to view cutscenes that are already in the game?
And then a ring that'll what...help you beat the game you've likely already beat by now?
The game still looks enjoyable, but the only kind of DLC that'd be worth it is some kind of "Endgame" content for people who's characters are either maxed or close to it and want an extra challenge.

Good DLC is on the way. New dungeon, new boss, new achievements.

This DLC we are seeing today is total crap.I imagine you are talking about the DLC that was released for Japan on April 10. You should use some more information in such a vague post.

I'm just impressed how thanks to all the consoles having
solid internet connectivity and storage, games can be extended by DLC.
Of course there's good and bad DLC but its great to be able to play a game and always have new maps, weapons, modes, levels, characters, etc. to keep the game fresh and exciting.
Sorry if I'm easily impressed. I've been stuck with my PS2 for too long (but I have been playing my PC as well) : D

Compared to the lead characters in the past FF games, this guy would be a spartan.

Actually Phillip, once you play the game you discover he is one bad ass mercenary. Hell, watch the opening sequence, and all doubts will be cast aside about his testosterone level.

I just finished this game lastweek. After beating the "secret" endgame stuff before finishing the last boss i got my toons to level 75ish. The DLC will not be worth it for me. The game on the otherhand was a pretty amazing current gen jrpg. Probly the best out now.
