I actually like it alot, especially the way you can switch view between first person and third. I shoot from third for a bit and switch to first person for the final hits so I'm more accurate. I Dont recommend using lock on, because everyone will be aiming and most likely hit you in the head. One Hit KO.

It will be interesting to see what people think....but as the keys went to the most hardcore MGS fans......
I have no expectations.....so I won't be disappointed. Hopefully it'll be better than Subsistence.

It's definitely MGS. It's definitely different to such games as COD4 and RFOM if that's what you're into.
After only playing it for about 30 minutes there does feel to be a LOT going on. I definitely need to spend time with this as I think the better you are at the game the more you'll get out of it. In other words: it's not a dumb shooter (not that I'm calling COD4 a dumb shooter - I love that game) I'm just saying its nuanced, the emphasis is on strategy so it's a different pace.
And I for you am liking it !

I'm in Europe and the beta is open to all so not just fanboys are playing it. I like MGS but I wouldn't consider myself a fanboy of it. For example: I never got around to picking up Snake-eater so my opinion is based on the game - not the hype.

I think the phrase was "to be able to make monthy payment, purchase ticket, etc." meaning... it's like the PSN store..that ID gives you that ability.
But if you're worried about it.. don't confirm your email, then you won't be able to. You can still play the game with an unconfirm email.. just won't have to worry about the other stuff that may come out.

Oh man this game is great. My team just won 4 straight capture missions because 2 of us manned the towers in the larger level with those dart sniper rifles and put half the enemy team to sleep. Much better than killing them because they take a good 45 seconds to wake up, and theyre left in the middle of nowhere when they do.
Also been trying to inject someone with that virus to see their SOP system but other people keep shooting him after I do. Have yet to work out how to boost your teammates up to a higher level like the trailer promotes. Maybe it's not in the beta. I think with a good team and some voice chat this could become really good fun. The Clan support looks nice too, as does the in-game buddy and mailing system.
