As if we didn't already expect another sequel to sneak from the shadows, Ubisoft head man Yves Guillemot mentioned via a Ubisoft conference call that they expect the Assassin's Creed brand to be around for "years to come". Which, if we're reading into this correctly and using our knowledge of the game's storyline, it means that a sequel or three should be headed our way rather soonish. Heck, we may even see an Assassin's sequel that plays more like more like Metal Gear ... then again, we pray it doesn't. Here's to a decade long life for the Assassin's Creed franchise!
More assassinating Assassin's Creed planned

I think they made it obvious a sequel was coming even before the first one came out.

I would love to see a prequel myself. Altair just starting out would be very nice. Although the repetition of the first game bored me, I still would love to continue with the series.

Fool me once, shame on me.
Fool me twice, shame on you.
I will be passing on this game.

You know you got that reversed, right?
I'm just sayin'.
This Assassin's Creed sequel would have to be DAMN good for me to invest more of my time and money into this series. I enjoyed the gameplay for a time, but was disappointed by the overall story and ridiculous ending, even if it was supposed to be a cliff-hanger.

Ya...I screwed that up. :)
I agree. I was completely hyped for this game (and perhaps that's my own fault), but the wife got it for me for Christmas, along with Scene-It.
I thought the game was gorgeous, but the game-play became redundant too quick for me and they story just didn't hook me.

Is that a raving rabbid? HAHAHA! That is funny. If it's yours Dustin, bravo. I'm pleased.
I liked Assassin's Creed, mainly because you get ass twice. I also liked it because it was fun as hell, and looked great. Sign me up for all the sequels.

i only liked it because it was really easy to get gamerscore points.......... the game was the same thing 20 thousand times, no challenge in that...

It was a good game, yes it was repetitive, but it was short enough to not matter. Cheevo's were easy to get which was nice, i even contemplated going back through to collect all the flags and get the full 1000...

AC was a good game by its own merits but geez it seems every reviewer out there hype the crap out of it. The false expectative, glitches, the crappy ending and the repetitive gameplay would've been passable if it wasn't because Ubisoft, Penny Arcade and GS (Before the K&L incident) act like it was teh sh*t selling merchandise and advertising the game as a gift from the heavens.
AC is pretty much like a pretty Crackdown but hell not even Crackdown was that repetitive.

AC was just plain boring. I did two of the assassinations and just gave it up. The same things happen over and over, even within the first few hours playing it. I thought the combat system was interesting, but even the thrill of the active/non-active modes got boring when you just do the same stuff over and over.
No items to discover, no tidbits to better yourself in any way. Beautiful graphically at first, but skin deep. You can barely interact with the environment other than climbing it.
Also, the constant beeping noise when the guards are aware of you gets extremely annoying. And the modern day stuff was so boring it's hard to believe it was executed and put into a game that was commercially marketed.

The only way I'm buying the next assassins creed is if all the character models are replaced with rabbits. Seeing him trying to climb things with his little arms and throwing carrots to take out people would be awesome. Also, whenever they assassinate someone they have to do that yell of theres. BAHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I thought there are going to be 2 more sequels, further along the time line, playing as some other descendents of Altair.

Personally for me this would of been a much better game if they didn't go with the modern day thing and just let you played the game as your ancestors without knowing about the stupid testing and stuff and just had a good old olden day hack and slash , the simulation is what turned me off from the game

I thought the developers stated AC was part of a trilogy a long time ago?
Or I did I just imagine it...???

Repetitive gameplay? No Challenge? What? Are you guys on crack. Maybe its cause you have your XBOX 360 or PS3 versions, which "maybe" suck. I included the word "maybe" there cause I'm just taking a guess as to why people are saying the game sucked. I thought it was great, it wasn't repetitive, and it was a challenge. I have the PC version of this game, maybe that's why it didn't "suck". Anyways sing me up for the sequel(s).
