Could this be the most frustrating beta ever conducted on a console? A myriad of problems have plagued the Metal Gear Online "premiere beta." We don't want to think about how frustrated people must've been when they realized they got invalid Metal Gear Online redemption codes. Even worse was the hours-long patch that was forced upon early downloaders. Then, people were unable to register for Konami IDs, and finally -- the beta was delayed.
Now it looks like there's one more step before the beta finally is playable for the masses. Just one more patch -- thankfully, a much smaller one than the first. At least the release notes offer an apology for the "inconvenience and frustration" that many of us have shared. The patch will "modify the way in which the beta client connects to our server."
While the frequent patches have been annoying, it comes to show what can happen in a game testing environment. All in all, we're hoping it'll all be worth it in the end.

Oh look, another Metal Gear Online patch
