Oh yeah, you get a flashlight in the game too, didn't see you mention that.. I think it's Up on the d-pad or something like that to turn it on. Makes seeing much easier.

Feel free to ask any questions if you get stuck. About the flashlight, you're using it from the very beginning ... so I didn't think it was worth mentioning too much.

So how are the graphics, guys? They're not everything, of course, but I wouldn't have bought a PS3 if I didn't care how shiny my games looked.

When you see the gameplay on video from Gametrailers/Youtube, the graphics look pretty awesome. But when you play the actual demo on a big screen at 1080p, you see a lot of things that a little youtube video hides. The graphics are great and I like the whole atmosphere the developers are going for. Lighting is superb as well. The only thing I can say is that the character models look like video game models, as compared to Mantra from N4G constantly claiming how they're life-like and blows Crysis out of the water. Also, L3 (or R3 i forget) toggles FPS mode & pulling R2 halfway back does the same. When you do this and look at bushes/trees/walls, the textures on these aren't that great. However, it still gives it a pretty good dirty/gritty atmosphere. I had a really fun time playing it.

I thought that too at first, but I'm not sure... It's similar enough though. He's in a lot of games, so I wouldn't be surprised (Assassin's Creed, MGS4, many older ones too).

Lol, I made a Japanese account strictly for downloading the GT5: Prologue demo thinking I would never use the account anymore. But I've been downloading demos and stuff and this will be my next download from the Japanese store.

go past the first zombie into the tunnel. there should be a pipe to your left side somewhere in the tunnel after that. Pick it up with the x button. Some text should appear to let you know it's near.

I'm impressed with this game. The controls remind me of uncharted in some ways i.e the shooting.

The atmosphere is slient hill/resident evil 4.

This is also the first time I set up a PSN Japanese account. So, cool , I'm downloading other demos and not sure what they are but it's cool none the less. Anyways, Siren is overall of good Survival horror game.

Since I payed attention to big titles and a few last generation I looked over the first siren game.

I didn't realize that this is a remake of the first game. The second never was put out in america.

Made a japanese account for this game, and i'm glad i did. It took some getting used to, but i now know what all the controls are, and even what some of the japanese means (if there's text in brackets and an "X" icon next to it, press X to pick up a weapon.) :)

Siren 1 was a great game, the voice acting was horrible but halfway through I didn't even notice anymore. Worth the $15 or so for a used copy for sure. I was really excited to see that a PS3 version is coming out as the first didn't fare so well. I quit hopeing to see Siren 2 US release awhile ago. Downloaded the demo earlier today, seems like it's headed in the right direction! Although I keep reading that this is a remake of the first, but these characters are totally new...where's K. Suda and his mighty sword of alien zombie destruction? I haven't seen a glimpse of any of the original cast...

Maybe it's too obvious to mention (I'll be downloading tonight to find out for myself), but did they get rid of sightjacking?

That was the mechanic that made Siren such a standout horror game. I _MIGHT_ be a little disappointed if it's not present in this updated version.

Ugh, so we've gone from "rumble is last gen" to rumble giving you a distinct advantage in the game in less than a year? I had (stupidly) assumed that designers wouldn't be doing anything vital with rumble since most people won't have it -- looks like I was wrong.
