Zero has to be one of my favorite Smashing Pumpkins songs. Glad to see it hit Rock Band!
JerJer @ Apr 25th 2008 2:36PM
agreed!!!
next: 1979, rocket, hummer, disarm, butterfly with bullet wings.....ARE YOU LISTENING HARMONIX?!
Tiptup300 @ Apr 25th 2008 3:12PM
I want Siamese Dream. Every single song on that album is pure sex.
Tiptup300 @ Apr 25th 2008 3:15PM
Melon Collie and Infinite sadness, not so much...
Desert Eagle @ Apr 25th 2008 3:42PM
Me too.
By the way, do I have to finish the game to be able to download the DLC, or is it ready to be downloaded? Because I'm having a VERY, VERY, VERY hard time trying to download it, so if anyone can help me out I'll appreciate it, because I'm a very sad eagle without my Judas Priest...
T @ Apr 25th 2008 3:53PM
@Desert Eagle: If you're on XBL, there's been problems on and off this weke.
But no, you do not have to beat the game in any sense to get DLC. It's available from the moment you first boot up.
Desert Eagle @ Apr 25th 2008 4:26PM
Yes, I'm on XBL, and so far, the only song that appears on the song list is "Still alive" and only that song I have managed to download. No Ride The Lightning nor Screaming for vengeance nor March of the Pigs and the many more DLC songs appear on the list. The rest of the categories in the main page always say "Coming soon" and I can't access them, every new release is shown on the right of the categories, but I can't access them. What the crap?
And this has been happening to me since last week of March, when I finally bought Rock Band.
OMGOMG @ Apr 25th 2008 2:36PM
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Sorry. I've listened to a lot of Smashing Pumpkins, and I couldn't get into them. They're very talented, just not my cup of tea. The Mother Hips I don't know enough about.
Sorry, I swear I'm not a music snob.
Tiptup300 @ Apr 25th 2008 3:16PM
All you need to listen to is Siamese Dream.
Farseer (GDI) @ Apr 25th 2008 4:10PM
Siamese Dream is brilliant.
B3astofthe3ast @ Apr 25th 2008 2:40PM
I didn't think they'd be able to top the awesomeness that was the judas priest album this soon.
Redface @ Apr 25th 2008 2:44PM
I am the only person excited for the Mother Hips? "Time We Had" was awesome, and I can't wait for these other two songs!
brandon_r87 : Brawl : 4897-5857-5091 @ Apr 25th 2008 3:09PM
Yeah, I'll probably get the Mother Hips songs, but not Smashing Pumpkins.
ill trooper @ Apr 25th 2008 2:52PM
Hmmm. Another week of bands they already have songs from. Good bands, but I want them to continue reaching further than the bands they already have on board (i.e. The Police, The Ramones, The Clash, 'The Weezer') and shock us with more stuff like Judas Priest. Let us buy Mötley Crüe classics! And what about '1979' from Smashing Pumpkins?
It's cool though... The fact that we can expect new releases every week nullifies nearly all serious complaints.
E.J. @ Apr 25th 2008 3:40PM
I agree with your comment wholeheartedly. Rock Band's DLC offers something for almost everyone. If this week's DLC isn't your bag, then there's always hope for next week.
FOXHOUND @ Apr 25th 2008 2:56PM
that d00d looks like a lady
FrankTheCrank @ Apr 25th 2008 2:59PM
Seriously, that chick in the photo looks, well, uhm...yuck. Looks like she's either a heroin junkie, tired, or just has lots of problems going on in her life. I'll pass on the chick.
Smashing Pumpkins are cool though.
FOXHOUND @ Apr 25th 2008 3:16PM
and that stare... -hides- x_x

Still needz moar Pink Floyd!!
MasterInsan0 @ Apr 25th 2008 4:50PM
Indeed.
JJ Rooster @ Apr 25th 2008 3:01PM
Harmonix is just releasing more Mother Hips because they don't pay them high royalties, in return for exposure of the band. That, or HMX devs really like their music...
But fuck that noise! Give me popular music that people at my parties have heard of, you self-serving douche bags!!!
Ronshatmycarl @ Apr 25th 2008 3:45PM
The same comment I wanted to make. I think that these bonus songs coming from "the good old boys" at Harmonix, have changed from free add ons for fun to hey look at us , buy our album, we're cool. It feels like they just shoving this stuff down our throat. Give us good songs people want.
Vote with your wallet.
MasterInsan0 @ Apr 25th 2008 4:53PM
Yeah, that's right--vote with your wallets. If you don't like The Mother Hips, don't buy their music. However, trying to impose your opinion on others while trying to seem "wise" is the very definition of douchebaggery. So STFU and follow your own advice.
KEFIOX @ Apr 25th 2008 3:14PM
I'll let this week slide because of the Judas Priest album this past week. That and the fact that Zero is a badass song. But The Mother Hips, come on. Seriously there was no one better than them they could add this week. Why not a full Smashing Pumpkins pack?
bakes @ Apr 25th 2008 3:38PM
WHAT HAPPENED TO FUEL?
Perosnally I feel it's one of the weaker MET songs but GOD it would be fun to play on ROCK BAND.
Desert Eagle @ Apr 25th 2008 3:50PM
It was thrown into the depths of the darkness, to never be seen on Rock Band and be eaten by a grue.
MinimumWageNinja @ Apr 25th 2008 3:36PM
Definitely, 100% downloading Zero... though I probably won't play it for a few good days due to GTA, play it once, then go back to GTA for a long time.
teknomusik @ Apr 25th 2008 3:45PM
Finally something non-classic (and good)! Who the hell are the mother hips?
Dan @ Apr 25th 2008 5:33PM
The band that does "Time We Had." One of the bonus songs.
ww3ace @ Apr 25th 2008 3:54PM
I'm still waiting for Hysteria
Michael @ Apr 25th 2008 4:04PM
I was hoping for Mayonaise!
Vegnagun bwf @ Apr 25th 2008 4:03PM
Where is Queen?
Tiptup300 @ Apr 26th 2008 2:25AM
Wheres Vanilla Ice?
[.sm0ke.] @ Apr 25th 2008 4:03PM
This is a Rock Band thread and Fernando hasn't posted yet? Odd... I hope nothing happened to him.
Moffka @ Apr 25th 2008 5:10PM
Zero = SOLD!
Chairman7 @ Apr 25th 2008 7:07PM
First Nine Inch Nails, now Zero by the Smashing Pumpkins' Zero! I want Rock Band so bad! Please release this in Australia - I don't care if its $400, heck I'll give you a kidney! I want to relive my 90's goth rock fantasies!
UkuleleSHIMA @ Apr 25th 2008 7:12PM
"where's this? Where's that?" Every week, the same lame comments when it isn't YOUR favorite band. Calm down and be patient.
HMX, I think your awesome what your doing even if its personally not my favorite music. But I'm ALWAYS open to trying out songs I've never heard. Thanks!
Zombiebait @ Apr 26th 2008 12:28AM
I can't wait to play Zero. That song will be awesome to play.
FSK405K @ Apr 26th 2008 3:01AM

DaMan09 @ Apr 26th 2008 5:28PM
How about more genres? Some Ska perhaps?
JerJer @ Apr 26th 2008 8:56PM
.....rock......
...band?
DaMan09 @ Apr 26th 2008 9:23PM
If you would recall, Punk and, dare is say, "emo" genres are in "rock" band, so I am going to go out on a limb and ask for some Ska-Punk" songs.
