Fernando Rocker, yes it is true you can send friend requests to people registered on your wii message board. The feature is in the Mari Kart Wii Channel. ^_^

Looks to be better than Brawl's online (gave up on trying it, may try it again sometime). Doesn't look bad for Nintendo. Nintendo: IMPROVE ONLINE!

/is suddenly craving a PS3

"Grr. Darn it!" is the angriest? What if I want to show everybody how "mature" I am by using racial slurs? Or making fun of their religion, by calling them jews? Or their sexual preference by repeating the word f@g over and over again?
Come on, Nintendo, get with the times.

The damn game keeps plonking me on Germany for some reason, despite the Wii set up as English.

You go in settings and you can change your region there. I think it's something like "Name and Flag".

Important point for online, if you go to your friends list when someone is online in a public race, you can click their name to join the same race they are in. Much better than a private one on one.

It looks like Mario Kart has a decent online system... If it's within Nintendo's means to do something like that, why was Super Smash Bros. allowed to have an poorly executed, bare-bones online component? It doesn't make any sense to me.

Good to see N is capable and is improving the cuality of their only attempts.
Hopefully these trend will continue,im not expecting XBL like service but atleast close, and better than the random and mediocre thing we had.
/START rant
Oooh why couldnt SSBB have a system like that or better? Or atleast DLC with it,if the wii had a HD of course.
/END rant.

I hope it works better than the online of Brawl. I still haven't been able to play an online game.
