Well this is not a question, more like a suggestion, here it is: Are we gonna be able to change weapons while we are running? You know cuz sometimes u start running and when you get to ur enemy you didn't have the right weapon equipped and its a sure death... Just Wondering... Thanks!

If you change weapons right as you come out of your run, then immediately dive and start running again it is just as fast as if you were running the whole time.

People use it all the time.

Yeah. If you can't see that, then you're blind. Almost every Unreal (as well as UT) has had a relatively large change between them. Gears of War is a major change from the usual, especially considering there aren't too many 3rd person action shooters.

But really, Epic isn't trying to "change" anything or make anything particularly new, and they know that- what they're trying to do is make something that is fun, and it doesn't have to be new to be fun.

How about some real questions:

- Can we be assured the melee system (including stuns) will be improved? How :) ?

- With all the new awesome upgrades to the U3 engine (new shaders that allow many characters, destructible environments, soft body physics), can you give us just a little tiny hint at any new gameplay elements that could be introduced into multiplayer?

- Taking into consideration that assassination was the least popular multiplayer mode, will there be modifications to the default layout to balance the spread of games more evenly?

- Coinsiding with the previous question, can we please have matchmaking for RANKED matches only, for fair tournament style games?

- Please please please put in dedicated host!!

Alright, here it goes. I sure hope you guys choose my question:

It's been a while since GoW came out so it's no shock that several other games have made an impact on the industry and the medium. Most notably, Grand Theft Auto IV is sending shock waves across the gaming community and looks like it could end up being the revolutionary title that everyone wants it to be. Do you find yourself looking at these games to see what they've done that maybe you can emulate or use as a springboard to improve your own games?

Also, is possible that you can cite any specific examples of features or aspects from some of the big titles out right now that you've looked at as a benchmark for Gears of War 2?

He is about as much a celebrity as the guy who designed tickle me elmo, and the fact that MS and the gaming press in general is always fawning over this idiot when his games arent even that good is irritating.

Other Asshats that have/had this same phenomena:

John Romero
Peter Molynueax
John Carmack

These guys are hyped up like the second coming but their offerings are usually very underwhelming.

I don't care about what CliffyB's favorite breakfast cereal is, how about some info on a different game instead?

I'd say Peter Molyneaux gets more hate than he deserves, he made a great game, the problem was he talked more than reality could produce

But i'd agree with your assessment about Cliffy B. Epic must only have 100 employees because there's only so much space for so many insanely swollen heads
