With the first footage we've seen of the Wii's Alone in the Dark in action, the game's producer, Maxime Loppin, shows off the title to JeuxVideo. To be honest, we know next to nothing of what Monsieur Loppin is saying, but sometimes actions speak louder than words.
After the break we've embedded footage of Loppin playing the game (he starts around 1:57). A nice touch: by moving the Wiimote and nunchuk away from each other in a "coat opening motion" players can view Carnby's inventory, which he conveniently keeps inside his coat. And if anyone is feeling super ambitious and wants to translate, be our guest.

A Wii game where the developer actually put forth an effort?
Hell YES!
It looks like they've ported the Wii version to the PS2 instead of porting a PS2 version to the Wii, which is a definite plus.
I think my arms would get tired if I drove around for too long in the game though :(

Its interesting that no-one is sure if the graphics on show are from the Wii version or the 360 version... oui?
In general it looked awesome, though I'm a bit worried by the driving section. If you look at the wheel on screen when he is "turning" it with the wiimote&nunchuck you can see that its at least 1/2 a second behind his actions. That's like driving after a few shots of absinthe...
...which I assure you is not easy.

Thank you guys... But the fact I look like Carnby is definitely a pure coincidence :)
BTW it's the first time I hear that !
Footage at the beginning is definitely footage from X360. Dunno why they put this in the Wii video.
Any question, just ask.

hi Maxime,
Did you guys do anything additional on graphics for the wii version? I mean, some dynamic light reflection and bumpmapping must be possible to some extend right?
reg,
Danny
