We'd like to blame other activities peripheral to Joystiq for the delay in Weekly Webcomic Wrapup (for this writer, it's academia), but really, it's Facebook Chat's fault. Note the chart above for proof (yes, infallible proof we say, with tongue, as always, firmly in cheek). Here are our picks for the week's best game-related webcomics; polling after the break.

Congrats to Angry Stick for making the list. That having been said; What exactly are the requirements to make 'the 3 w's' I mean if I go and doodle up some artwork of mario repeatedly slapping yoshi again and again and again, brutally hitting him with all his might, eyes bulging, every vein pumping 260 BPM of pure mario fury as he just beats the living daylights out of his pet, could I get up on it for a week?

on second thought, nevermind. That's a terrible idea. Clearly I have been playing too much GTA. Or maybe Mario has...

Wow, way to tease. Throw the first one out there as something pretty funny, and i get suckered into reading the rest of the shitty ones (2Pstart was pretty funny, except i got an 500 error when i clicked it the first time, and already voted).

tongue-in-cheeck cast aside...is facebook chat really all that compelling? i havent touched it, then again, i havent touched 95% of the content/apps on facebook.

i just like writing goofy stuff in the "how do you know this person" section.

you'd be suprised how many former full-contact indonesian synchronized water polo teammates i've found on facebook.

Seriously, this week was great. Cept for the Blame Nintendo one, the pokemon one, and realm of the absurd.

After having said last week that Dueling Analogs has never had anything funny, I have to admit that this week's comic would be funny if it wasn't so true. Still, I thought 2P Start was the funniest. I don't like the way that artist draws people, but when they do characters, it's usually very good.

I liked just about all of those, but I have to give it to MNC since I didn't plan on getting an extra wheel...but did anyway.

Also, that pie chart describes my life perfectly

OK guys make sure whichever comic is most hated upon is the coolest and should win just to spite them.

Well for this week I have to say that the lesser known comics weren't all that funny. :\

They were all weak except Angry Stick and PA, But PA takes it for me cuz i fucking HATE blue shells.

:) And I finally used facebook chat today. It's alright, they should let you drag it to where you want though.

I never bothered with Myspace as it was all about who had the snazzier Myspace page.

Facebook is more down to Earth, its also highly popular here in the UK.

This was a good week. Of course there are people who will say everything was crap, but they are just following the crowd of comic haters every week.

MNC made the poll!

That comic was based on past experience with customers. It was always amazing how many guys would come in and complain for 20 minutes non-stop about x gaming company screwing everyone over and being greedy. They would follow it up by pre-purchasing the game, especially if it was a special edition. Crazy.

Actually, being on the poll at all is a win. I really don't care where we end up in the final results, I just want to keep about 5% of the traffic. On average our site get about 10,000 extra visits over what we normally get just for being on the poll. If we retained 5% that would end up being 500 fresh faces visiting every week. Not every comic is a winner, but you can't please everyone, especially on the internet.

Nah, don't get me wrong. I'm proud of what I've done so far. Basically have 6 strips under my belt and this is the first true attempt I took at this. Plus, thanks to this comic, I was allowed to have Scorpion beat Nightwing to death with a rock, and that's nothing to complain about.

Don't know. Based upon the reaction at the end of the one month run, I may be starting up the site and putting more work into it.

I know I suck. As I said, this is the first time I've tried something like this. I feel I've improved so far but there's definately room for improvement.

The Super Effective comic is hilarious. Especially being an old Pokemon fan(don't play anymore) and can easily remember the early Pokemon games. Everyone should check it out! ( http://www.vgcats.com/super )

I never really abused the rival name, though i was sorely tempted to. For Blue version i named him Ash just to vent against that horrid show, for Silver i named him after a real-life kid i hated, since my character was named after me. For Pearl, since i named my character Temujin(Genghis Khan's real name), i named the rival Jamuka, who was Temujin's friend in youth and rival in early adulthood

Jefbot, please change the art style. For the love of God Death By Pixel and Shredded Moose are already blatant Penny Arcade art style clones. We don't need anymore.

Q-bert's curious dialect made 2P Start great, but Dueling Analogues takes it, true humor ftw
