Over on Xbox.com, TriXie posted a GamerchiX enrollment update announcing that, to date, their group of GamerchiX has reached the 5,000 member milestone. Now, that's a lot of chiX ... man. This group of gaming females is now (though, they've always been) a force to be reckoned with, with members spanning across the globe, in thirty countries and on all continents except Antarctica. Which we can't fault them for. Congrats TriXie and to all the members of the GamerchiX community as we wish you continued membership success! We also promise to quit asking you for your a/s/l while waiting in Halo 3 matchmaking lobbies.5,000 is a lot of GamerchiX

It's unfortunate that it's only 5,000. We really could use more female gamers.

5000 out of what... 6 million (not sure what the number is) xbox live gamers?

Now if it was 5,000 that were actually really good I'd be impressed. I mean its not like there are qualifications for their club other than claiming to be female. But its really great that they have a group of people to play with on live, awesome for them.

And? Is it news that females play video games, or that groups of gamers can form? Neither should be news to anyone reading this blog. And how many of the 5,000 are "active"? haha, see what I did there?

You realise that only 200 or so of the accounts are real females and the other 4800 are male lurkers trying to gain access to the "IRL photographs" thread right?
Good just thought i'd clear that up.
Oh and on a side-note: Nobody cares. You're a girl and you play games, good job. I'm a man that does the housework, can i get a fucking commendation now?
