For me, I'm waiting for Super Dodgeball Brawlers, 08 Commando: Steel Disaster, Metal Slug 7, Space Invaders Extreme, Arkanoid (maybe) and Dragon's Lair I & II.

There are tons of games coming that I want but I grow tired of buying games that add to the backlog, so I have to pick and choose which games are bought and which games wait. Super Dodgeball, FFIV, N+ and Space Invaders top my list. I want summon night but it comes out dangerously close to some of the other titles. August is all about Bangai-O for me.

Day Ones:
Etrian Odyssey II
Trauma Center: UtK 2
Bangai-O Spirits

Possible:
Puchi Puchi Virus

I Know It's Already Out, But I'm Waiting for the Price Drop that May Never Come (lol):
The World Ends With You

I am so glad that some of these have gotten delayed, honestly. I'm working on finishing a lot of the games I have and downsizing my collection, and that gives me time to do so.
(Space Invaders Extreme is also a must-buy, but I'm getting the PSP version since I've got too much on my "to be obtained" list to justify importing a paddle for one game.)

Dodgeball, FFIV, and (shockingly) Crosswords DS.

What I'm looking forward to has changed slightly in the past few weeks, what with the sudden announcement of Izuna 2 and the rave reviews for TWEWY. I'm less interested in Drone Tactics now as I once was (the more images I see, the more, rather than less, generic it looks to me), so that possibly frees up room for another game. I know I plan on getting Etrian Odyssey II, but other than that everything's up in the air at this point.

I'd rather wait on Bangai-O spirits until it drops to $20, but I'm afraid of it becoming very quickly rare like the original. Space Invaders Extreme will always be available, so I'm in no rush to get it day one.

FFTA2 was going to be a day one purchase, but, as I said, given the incredible reception to TWEWY I don't know what to do, as I refuse to pay the Square-Enix tax more than once this year, and it takes the better part of a year for a game like that to drop to a normal price. Amazon comes through sometimes, like with DQM:Joker becoming $25 a month or so after release, but I can't count on that, given that they'll likely meet their sales quotas on these two.

Trauma Center UtK2 is a must-buy. Izuna's shaping up to be one since it looks so vastly improved over the original, which was solid to begin with. Oh, and Jake Hunter, unless I can find a used copy of Hotel Dusk first.

The only things I'm really anticipating are Korg DS-10, Gauntlet and Crosswords DS.

I just started playing Children of Mana and was disappointed -- there's a lot of unnecessary unfriendliness, like cutscenes that can't be skipped, no option to reload when you die in a boss fight (without rebooting your DS), etc.

I picked up Shiren The Wanderer yesterday and I'm enjoying it much more so far, though it still has some weird quirks. Also got a Nyko Charger Grip so as not to kill my big ol' hands with non-stylus-oriented games.

I dunno. It depends on what looks good and is well reviewed after it comes out.
