Had the load screen freezing bug when I tried to re-attempt a mission for Vlad. Went back to the Dashboard, Re-loaded, then got around it by going on a date with Michelle, then going back to the mission. Also had some weird disconnects/joining issues in multiplayer, but nothing too extreme, considering Live has been a little crazy since that last "update."On a funny side note, tried multiplayer the first night and it took me and my friend TWO HOURS to realize we were in the "lobby" of Party Mode, and not actually in Free Mode. LoL! I think that kinda shows how deep this game is...

PS3 owners are more affected it seems.
More than 70% readers bought GTA IV that's pretty impressive.

Mine froze twice yesterday on the 360 as it was starting to load a mission. I just hit the guide button and went back to the dashboard, then restarted the game. My package didn't come with a LIVE card, AND the outer packaging had a stamp "Disc Manufactured in Mexico". Maybe it's related, maybe it's not...but I want to take it back to Best Buy either way.

360 here. Mostly multiplayer problems with friends, disconnected from party as we launch into a game mode. It session no longer in progress or server disconnect (yet the server's still up.) Have this issue in the lobby mode too. Don't have problems like this in other games with these friends. Not a constant problem, but still a problem that comes and goes for one of us regularly.

I had only played about two hours Tuesday night when I got the unable to read disc error three times while attempting a mission with Jacob. Luckily I was able to get to my local gamestop before 9. He said I was the first in our area to come in with problems but gave me my new disc and I havent had any more problems!

Hrm. 30,000+ votes in so far.
360: 2000 problem, 11,500 no problem (14.8%)
PS3: 3000 problem, 6000 no problem (33%!!)
More pertinent to me (my PS3 is a 20 gig), non-60GB PS3 owners show 800:1600. The ratio is just as bad as for 60GB owners!
Of course, I'm sure there's some selection bias here (more people with problems will find and take the poll than people whose games are working fine), but there shouldn't be a different selection bias for PS3 than for 360 -- looks like the 360 version definitely has a lower error rate.
I was gonna get the PS3 version (I might not renew my Gold XBL sub, but I'd still like the option to play online, plus Home integration sounds cool), but now I'm reconsidering.

I have xbox 360 version.
All my other games work fine on Live. GTa4 worked fine up until I played again on June 27th, after a two week gap.
I keep getting the "disconnected from session" issue which is frustrating. This may occur with audio from the players in the room it is trying to join before it disconnects.
I do get onto good games intermittently. This is, say, every 15 or so games I try, but this takes ages. It also appears to work better at night time - But I am, well, asleep usually!
My Router and modem set-up is fine clearly - No question, since my other games work flawlessly over wireless. The xbox is on DMZ, port-forwarding (the firewall isnt even on) etc etc. So I have concluded that it MUST be server-side....Despite Take Two/Rockstar not having knowledge of this. (There was GTA4 server down-time around June 21-25 so I may have the end of that).
If anyone has solutions to this which DOESNT involve regurgitated info about ports, dmz, full-cone-nat and all that crap, please let us know. I am not as worried now since my other games work, but its just annoying I could be online playing it... But I cant.
Thanks.
