Ubisoft opens up new studio in Kiev
Wasting little time, Ubisoft has staffed up the studio with a "core team of 12 developers," led by Blazing Angels: Secret Missions of WWII dev Vitalii Blazheiev. The studio is expected to eventually employ 50 people over the next 12 months, with more than 800 working for the company's numerous Eastern European studios by 2009. Clearly Ubisoft has found something special in the region that it can't ignore. Germknödel perhaps?

I realize that most big developers have multiple offices, I just dont see why it is logistically and finacially benificial.

On topic: I have always found it interesting how Ubi is strategically locating offices around the planet, and taking over as one of the number one game developers... impending military coup? Sam Fisher? GRAW? Prince of Persia? Mind control through videogame hypnotics? I think yes
