Yeah. You're right. It can't have anything to do with the bourne movies at all. Just a coincidence, right?

Hey dipshit, get an education. It's based on the Bourne series of novels written by Robert Ludlum, not any of the movies, which are stories of the same character but not linked to the game. Are you telling me Goldeneye on N64 was a 'crappy movie game'?

No. Goldeneye was an awesome game. But how far back did you have to go to find a decent movie video game?

And last time I checked having an "education" didn't have much to do with knowing who the hell Robert Ludlum is. I did learn that run on sentences are bad, though. Maybe you should go back and work on your GED.

Sorry buddy, don't live in North America so GED doesn't apply. Perhaps that's the problem ;) Run on sentences are 'bad' eh? Wow you certainly couldn't be described as grandiloquent, could you?

Woah, AnOffday, you are a complete moron. Robert Ludlum is the famous author behind the Bourne series of novels. The game is based on the books and not the movies.

So perhaps before you start criticising a game like that, you should consider getting your facts straight first.

not really the kind of comments i was expecting when i cliked on this.

but, why is the UK getting a physical disc demo and not just put it out onto the marketplace for them and everyone else?...i really don't see the incentive...unless games based off of Robert Ludlum novels have a huge fanbase in the UK. is he from the UK?

Wow, a lot of people splitting hairs here. It's not based on the trilogy of movies based on the books, it's just based on the books... that the movies were based on. I think you are stretching it pretty thin to say that it's not a "movie game".

AnOffDay, don't try insulting people just because you made a dumb comment and are now trying to divert attention. Your comments are here to stay so everyone can see what a prick you are.

AnOffDay,

We all just would like to see you get your facts straight before criticizing a game.

This game is based on the books, with a tie in to the movies. Matt Damon is not involved. Please get it right before posting.

:)

Oh so the fight scenes I keep seeing in this game that really remind me of that medium with the moving pictures that is based on the books, and I guess we just ignore that the trilogy was based on the books.

Oh, and I guess we ignore the fact that the game is already after the movie adaptation.

Right? As long as we accept denial and complete ignorance it all makes sense!

Manic,
The books also had the fight scenes you speak of and came out before the movies. Yes, the game has similar scenes to the movie, that is why I said it had "tie ins" to the movies as well. It wasn't meant to start a flame war...

Um, no I don't think those fight scenes happened in the book, seeing as how the books don't give a blow by blow description and the constant countering and the way the fight scenes are portrayed in the game is the same as they were in the movies.

Movies = based on books = game

It's all relative and you people are laughably trying to say that the game is more like the books (a medium famous for words, and no pictures), even though it is a medium (again maybe I should type slower) with MOVING PICTURES that looks an awful lot like the other medium with MOVING PICTURES.

Wow this whole "is it a movie tie-in?" thing seems REALLY important to you guys!

Shall we all just agree that since Jason Bourne's been around since the 80's but this is the first JB game ever... the fact that the developer/publisher even optioned the license probably has far more to do with the movies than the books.

HOWEVER, since it's not a direct movie tie-in with the need to meet the same release window as a movie, the chances of it being a decent game are 10x better than if it were a direct movie tie-in.

And AnOffday, for the record although they are few and far between, good film tie-in games DO get made, and I can even point out a fairly recent (well, 2004) one... Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay.
