Since we first saw the gameplay from The Bourne Conspiracy, we've held a secret hope that the game, despite its deficiency of Vitamin D(amon), would rise above the standard of mediocrity that has been set by so many licensed games before it. But today is the true test, as a hulking, 1.24 GB demo for the game has just arrived on Xbox Live Marketplace in Australia, New Zealand, India and North America (it's coming to Europe next week).
So eager were we to pass the news along that we haven't given the demo a try yet. But we're anxiously awaiting word on it, so ... what's your verdict?

At work ... can't give it a try.
I literally LOL'd at Vitamin D. Good show.

I think they're better off without have Damon in there. It makes the game appear to be based off the books rather than the movies which gives it a better appeal imho.

though its obviously totally based off the movies in terms of action, fighting style and cinematography...

DL'd it and my opinions are mixed.
I think the takedowns look great, but every time you get into a fight, it goes through a little cinematic before the combat actually begins. The quicktime events are also sudden, and if you miss them, the game ends and you have to go through a long reload process.
Got annoying fast.
Replaying the embassy scene from "Identity" was nifty.
I'm holding out hope that there is more to the combat than just light and heavy attacks, which build your adrenaline bar allowing you to do takedowns. There is apparently a charge-up move (a kick) but I could never pull it off without it getting interrupted by a butt kicking.
Really want this game to be amazing, but I'm just not sure...

The quick time events have an audible cue well before the button appears on the screen.
As for the fighting system, I thought that the way it smoothly blends environmental attacks and cut scenes with the standard punches, kicks, and take downs was cool. This demo changed my mind about the game and it has now moved to the top of my must buy list (just below NG2).

So... Why exactly isn't this on the UK marketplace? I could understand if this America only... But two PAL, English speaking territories getting the demo and the UK doesn't... Can't even download it from any other marketplace because I only have Gold Membership on my UK account.
Oh well, sure I'm not missing much.

I downloaded and played through the whole demo.
I thought it looked pretty good graphically.
Gameplay was up and down for me. Fighting felt kinda clunky from time to time. Takedowns were cool though.
The Gunplay was generic and not spectacular...but i had some fun with it.
The driving mission felt stale, boring and felt like an unecessary addition...It was really short though...hopefully its better in the full game.

im gonna just go out there and say it...i think it looks really good, a little TOO good for a movie game, so thats a plus...the fighting is definitely growing on me, i see some diversity with the kills and i really appreciate bournces intensity when he deads someone...its kidna weird that i have only encountered 1v1 fights though? the shooting needs work, but again, i don't even know if thats even a concern in the game...it seems to be speed first kind of like a better The Club...so thats where level design becomes suspect..i mean come on the driving level was totally lame it controlled like bumper cars...either way its kidna cool i'd rent it unless i see some better pacing...and oh yea ATB stuff was only cool in shenmue

The game seems like a rail shooter to me. Sort of.. follow this path, hit buttons correct timed sequence, win. Yes there is some shooting elements and it is not quite as restrictive as a true rail shooter, but it has that sort of feel to me. The car chase sceene felt very dry. The environment looked so plain and non discript it was sort of boring. Run around in a loop long enough for an exit to become available. Blah. I don't feel like I am part of the story, but simply a virtual camara man. The fighting is sort of the same. It looked like it had so much promise in screen shots, but the fighting seemed to be nothing more than taping a few buttons long enough to do a finishing move which is sort of repetitive. I feel they could have done the game a lot more justice by taking queues from the fighter genre and buit in interesting combos and button combinations to give a lot more variation. I did like the counter system when a boss uses a take down move against you.
