Kinda cool, though I would like to see a least 5 or 8 more songs

Considering the investment that Rock Band is (Deluxe box with instruments, a second guitar, and now this expansion disc), this might be a good time to consider adding a PS3 or 360 to your entertainment center, and getting Rock Band on one of those systems.

You certainly won't be saving any money, but you will be stepping up the convenience and long-term investment factors, and the ability to pick which DLC you actually want is a big plus as well.

In a scale from 1 to 10 (10-highest) how does the Wii, PS3, 360, and latest (relatively affordable) PC system rate?

For me, the PC (9 score) and Wii (8 score) compensate each other well. The PC for quality FPS games and then the Wii for unique, fun games that friends and family can enjoy. The 360 (7 score) has great graphics but is too expensive. I'd rather have a multi-functioning PC with comparable graphics and gameplay. I have not played PS3, but again, too expensive for what it is.

Anyone else with me?

I agree. If you can only get one console + your PC, the Wii is a good choice, since most everything decent for the Xbox360 comes out for the PC in a superior version, and the Wii picks up all those goofy Nintendo games you won't get for your PC.

I wasn't expecting it, but the only song I wanted was Still Alive, so I guess I'm still not getting the wii version.

I'm very pleased that they decided to do this. It's a shame that you lose track selection options, but the price is right, and the idea is solid.

Hopefully this does well for them to continue it.

Can I use my GH3 guitar in Rock Band for the Wii yet? NO? Okay, then still no sale, extra disc or not. And if I could use my GH3 guitar, then I would get RB and the expansion disc. That's a lot of money they are losing out on.

You shouldn't be complaining to Harmonix nor EA about not being able to use your GH3 guitar with RB. Direct all your complaints to those greedy bastards at Activision for that one.

Maybe they just don't want to deal with the hassle of the friend code system?

Wow. I'm not impressed.

Is this supposed to be a joke? Seriously. It's insulting.

This is not a reasonable replacement for all the content they cut from their half-assed Wii port.

I still will not buy the Wii version. Anyone stupid enough to give them money for this abomination deserves this pile of S#!@.

Yes this is very good. And this 20 song set disk is only the first of more to be released too. They will release new volumes every few months at $30.00 each. If you buy all the "Track Packs" that are released, they will add up to hold all of the downloadable songs on the XBOX 360 and PS3 versions of Rockband.

i think the whole ROCKBAND experience i had playing it on Xbox360 was the best damn game i've ever played.. so of course, i've got a wii for the sheer factor of the fun playablity of its controls format...
I reserved rock band for the wii as soon as it was avaliable to reserve.
the June 22 , i picked it up.. and in 5 minutes i was UTTERLY DISSAPOINTED TO THE CRAP OF A GAME that i just paid $180 after taxes for. i wanted to return the game and just go buy a damn 360 just for rockband.. not to mention all the other "adult" games. overall the wii is fun to play with friends vs the 360 personal experience to all solo games. The Wii must have accepted to produce this garbage for people who live in a box and dont realize how awesome the original version is... and inside the box once you purchace it states that you can spend another $30 for 20 more songs that
3\4 of them wouldnt be worth playing.

The final straw is not being able to use the GH guitar to get at least 4 people playing this game in your closet because you're ashamed of the poor capabilities this game has.

should've just waited for GH4 to come out ...

BIG BUMMER.. i've been a NINTENDO (tm) fan since the NES.. after this game though.. i may have to suck it up to Bill Gates' microsoft money making system... and actually enjoy my time playing something worth while...
