Secret Agent Clank bolts into stores June 17
The PlayStation Blog reveals that the PSP's Secret Agent Clank will infiltrate retail beginning June 17. PSP Fanboy recently posted several new videos of the game, including scenes of Cpt. Qwark's gameplay.
Fans of the Ratchet & Clank universe who don't own a PSP might not have to worry about missing out on this game as long as they have a PS2 or backwards-compatible PS3. If Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is any indication, Secret Agent Clank could sneak onto the PS2 as a port sometime in the relative future.

Reminds me of a Radio Shak toy from the 80's

Size Matters was a uninspired piece of garbage. Unworthy of the Ratchet and Clank Franchise.

Really? That's a bummer. Was going to pick it up for my girlfriend's PSP so I had something to play over at her place. I just picked up the 2nd R&C for PS2, like $6 up Blockbuster, and it's pretty high technical schweet.

THIS MAN LIES. Size Matters was great. Since it's Greatest Hits, a used copy won't kill you either way.
UltimateQ @ May 5th 2008 11:51PM
Never played it. I love the R&C series. I own all of the ps2 games. I will take your warning under advisement though. Thanks a bunch.

I thought Size Matters was fairly good. It took a bit to get used to the controls since the PSP doesn't have dual analog, but overall it was a solid game. Definitely a good portable version.

I thought it needed a bit more time as Ratchet blowing shit up. That's what makes the series fun, after all. The mini-game to main-game ratio seemed a little high. All that withstanding, it's still a lot of fun.

The bowtie is a nice touch.

Kickass pun in the title of this article, dude!
mr nimblewick @ May 5th 2008 10:48PM
But when does it come out on PS2?
drun @ May 5th 2008 11:40PM
I love Future, it delivered a perfect graphic for games of cartoon style. After I played Future, PSP and PS2 graphics can no longer satisfy me.
But I heard this game and Future will have some secret connections, so I'll try it out.
and, some Future DLC please...or maybe Future 2 plz...
Burnt Meatloaf @ May 6th 2008 4:49AM
I just wish they would fix the control bugs before they offer any DLC. When you switch between 3rd-person mode and 1st-person (or close-up) mode, the camera controls are reversed!
WTF?!
Psaakyrn @ May 6th 2008 6:13AM
Whoever made that cover deserves to be sacked. Clank's wight paw is almost unrecognisable.

Sony milks Ratchet&Clank like Nintendo milks Mario...
7 Ratchet&Clank games in 6 years, most with nearly identical game-play! At least Nintendo changes the game-play between platforming, driving, and sports.

I would say "if it's not broke, don't break it, just refine it" or "what's wrong with an annual series that keeps getting better" but both questions are really moot. Because while the R&C series does grow upon the past iteration, they aren't exactly offering up the "diversity" of Ratchet & Clank Baseball or Ratchet & Clank Rodeo. Sony is failing in so many ways in that regard. They have an especially hard time creating new IPs compared to Nintendo.
Vidikron (FU) @ May 6th 2008 10:05AM
Good thing most are better than the crap bearing Mario's name.
Vidikron (FU) @ May 6th 2008 10:07AM
Besides... I'd say this is more analagous to a Luigi game. And it's completely laughable that you would compare this one series of games to the pimping Nintendo does with their characters. It's not even the same league.
PojoMofo @ May 6th 2008 10:19AM
yes because SSBB and MKWii are just light years ahead of their Gamecube titles...
Jacksons @ May 6th 2008 4:12PM
Say what you will, but I'd take Super Mario Galaxy 2 over any of the derivative Mario sports shit that will be sure to come out soon while Nintendo waits for the next generation of consoles (why must you punish us, Nintendo?)
I really enjoyed all of Ratchet's titles so far from both developers. Once Ratchet Golf, Ratchet Party and Ratchet Soccer come out, I'll agree that they're overusing the little lombax. And plus, this is Clank's game.
Rob Accomando @ May 6th 2008 9:16AM
waiting for the $19.99 PS2 version
PojoMofo @ May 6th 2008 10:21AM
See you in 6 months
seriously, why would people buy this game for PSP when we all know it will come out for PS2 later this year or early next??
avery @ May 6th 2008 7:41PM
@Evan
Agreed. It starting to become like the Mega Man series.
