Vigilante 8 Arcade devs shoot for June, will include DLC
When we first caught wind (or is that exhaust?) of it, the Xbox Live Arcade version of retro car combat game Vigilante 8 was due for "spring." Now, more specifically, developer Isopod says it's shooting for early June, though it warns that the final decision will be Microsoft's.
Though that's a little later in spring than we would have liked, we were interested to hear that the team has already moved on to making DLC for the game, so what it lacks in promptness, it sounds like it could make up for in sheer girth.

Can't wait. It's not nearly as good as Twisted Metal, but I still enjoyed this back in the day on the N64 and at least I'll have some car combat to play with my friends that don't have a PS3.

I liked the old V8 a bit better than Twisted Metal. Twisted Metal was a bit harder to control and often the levels were really dark. Both were good though, I just liked V8 better.
And finally, for the first time, I have a reason to buy a 360!

it's probably not, but i'd like to think that's a beehive on a stick hanging off the side of that truck.
"covered in bees" is a shamefully under used attack in todays video games.

It is a beehive, maybe a wasps nest, can't remember.

Reminds me of Interstate '76, now *that* was an awesome game, sigh.

Seems like the graphics took a big step down for XBLA. With the file size restrictions, that isn't really a surprize. Let's all hope the steering is in this version is more solid than it's N64 and Dreamcast counterparts, wow just overly sensitive.

Sniff I miss I-76. That was a solid single player and multiplayer game back then. Back in MY day kids we didn't have all these fancy graphics and realistic cities. Bah, we had clunky polygons and we LIKED it!
/runs back to GTAIV to complete 100%

V8 was awesome. Wow, I remember the N64 graphics a little worse...
