Parents never cared. I grew up on sly stallone and ahnuld flicks, and the rest of the 80's violent family flicks. By the time the games got excessive, i was already old enough anyway.

I don't really speak about it with
my parents very much. In the action
movies I watch, I get a very short
lecture, from my mom, every now and then. What I
do is to time things out so that
I'm not playing them while they are
present.

We love people, and this is a safe place to release our frustrations without hurting anyone. This game is a great asset to society!

One time when I was playing Vice City and I first got the chainsaw, I had an awkward three minutes or so while I ran around on the street distinctively not cutting anyone's limbs off because my parents were watching. My father expressed disapproval at the time.

My parents think that I play too many violent games, but they also have told me they know I'm mature enough to handle it. I'm pacifist, so sometimes I think it is hypocritical, but its completely different than hurting a real person if you can responsibly handle it. In fact, it gets out aggression, which is necessary whether you believe in pacifism or not.
