I did it by riding a motorcycle up the pedestrian entrance of the Algonquin Bridge and chilled there for 5 minutes and escaped on the train tracks.

Yeah, there are two ways. This way is more fun. I also did the pedestrian bridge.

Good choice for a ch33v0 this week XAV.

Yeah, i basically did that. I was trying to run from a 4 star rating and i found myself running up the pedestrian part of that bridge. When i crossed the part of the bridge they were guarding up above, i got six stars, but they still couldn't really get to me. I kind of just milled around for a while trying to decide what to do when i got the achievement. I didn't even know that was an achievement till i got it!

10 times easier if you just do it early on. Grab a helicopter and fly under the bridge that is guarded off by police. Instant 6 stars. Then just fly around for 5 minutes. Piece of cake.

I did exactly what AnOffDay did, except I didn't even intend to "escape the cops for five minutes" I was just toying around with annoying cops in a helicopter. Funny thing is, I took my eyes off of flying My Lit'l Neco around when the achievement popped up and got slaughtered seconds later...funny stuff.

PS: Anyone trying to get the 500 ft. wheelie achievement needs to use the moped. You can't fall off while doing it, it's laughably easy.

Same. I did it this way. I tried the algonquin bridge trick but the cops found me. Oh well. Actually the first time I tried it this way I made it to the heart and was chilling on the ledge near the heart and suddenly one of the police choppers must have ran into the statue cause I died by propeller blade. Odd. They really need a replay video mode like H3. I then went back and just chilled halfway up the ladder. Thanks X3F, Xav. Good stuff.

Ooh, not a bad way to do it. You're basically invulnerable while in the chopper though, so it's only necessary if you want to make a sandwich instead of fly around, heh.

For those of you in the unfortunate position of having all of the islands unlocked, an easy way to get six stars is to nab the four stars you get from driving around at the airport, and then get two more by flying your escape chopper over to the Brooklyn Bridge with an assault rifle and taking out the cop cars below. You're high enough to avoid everything but chopper fire, and you're low enough to shoot the people on the ground.

And then just use the chopper to escape, of course.

not to be rude or anything but is this nessecary? Theres already an ign video showing you the train tracks trick, a video right on xbox live inside on the dashboard itself showing you this, + like 20 more people showing you how to get it. Why keep making videos showing how to obtain this achievement? There are like 30 other achievements that could still use videos.

Your complaint is that we're not first?

Well, apologizes but like we said when we started this segment in our first video we might do points people already have.

This is what we decided to do this week for our community.

Thanks for the feedback.

im just saying it seems like wasted effort. I make videos myself and I know it takes time and I like to help others.

If Im going to make a video I make sure Im using my time to help people with something that has no help.

For instance no1 made a video in gta4 for the 30 stunt jump locations yet. Thats something I would like to see.

Well, again thank you for your comment.

However, keep in mind that just because we weren't able to help you today it doesn't mean we can't help someone.

If we can help one person with this video, and it looks like we already have, no effort was wasted.

My friend and I are going to use this to unlock the achievement so it did "help" :)

We are not as fast as some of you, and I don't really search around for tips except X3F.

To answer your question Mike. Yes it is necessary. It is the first time that I saw this trick.
Not to be rude or anything, but don't assume that just because you go to all the websites that means everyone else does.
Thanks for the cool tip Xav.

The way i did this was after i had beat the game, so i had to be a little more creative. I took a chopper to times square, hopped on top of one of the buildings, and then proceeded to snipe random peds. Make sure you have full amount of RPGs and all ammo for all guns (no cheats!). Then just hang out up there, kills cops/peds/choppers until 6 stars. Once i hit 6, i was high enough that the cops couldnt see me, so they couldn't dispatch choppers to me, i made a sandwich. :)

If you have a prior save you can reload that. Somebody said something about getting 4 stars at the airport, then shooting a few cops.

i seem to be having trouble getting "under the radar" unlocked. i have flown under every bridge 3 times & still nothing. do i have to have all 3 islands unlocked in order to get it, or can i do it at any time? i got a wanted level when i went to get the ones on the third island, and as i went under the last bridge i didnt get it... any suggestions?

oh and the trophy icons that showed the bridges no longer show up...

I had the exact same problem, it turned out that the South-Western most bridge has to be flown under at a certain point, because when I tried it again I knew it was the last one - flew under it and nothing, turned around flew under it to the south a bit more and ding, got it... try that

I drove through the Hove Beach subway station and on the tracks over the bridge to Algonquin, and hid in the tunnels, then drove back across to escape the search.

Just my 2 pence, I flew a chopper over to the 3rd island. (Obviously I haven't unlocked it yet)

As soon as I got there I had the 6 stars, then I just stayed high and tried following the planes around liberty city. Think I got it on my 2nd 'lap'.

This really seems like a shame if people are getting it like this, not because its 'cheating' or anything stupid like that, just because the achievement affords you a huge amount of fun. I got it on a cop killing spree and after blowing up a few cop cars that were chasing me down inside a gas station. Then spent the next five minutes in an awesome car chase whilst Queen's 'one vision' was blasting out from Liberty Rock radio - most fun Ive had on the game yet!!!!

I just took a motorcycle up the stairs to a train station, hoped on the tracks, rode until i was in a locked area, and hung out in the underground tracks chillin' with homeless people for 5 minutes. Much easier.

Yeah, the cops dont follow you onto the subway tracks.

I got this by accident on release day. I snuck over one of the bridges at the start of the game when I was messing around, and managed to survive enough to go down the subway, I waited a bit at the station until the cops turned up, then ran down the tracks. I was sitting there figureing out what to do, then it popped up Achievement Unlocked. Hadn't even checked out out the achievements at that point, so was a bit suprised :)

Between this and the marketplace cheevos vid, I say it's just easier to play and let the achievements come to you. They will in the course of your gaming and it's much funnier and natural that way.

If you find avoiding the police super hard, ok use these, otherwise just get six stars and avoid the police, at night, use alleyways, etc.

This rule also fits Halo 3 too. If you TRY to get mongoose mowdown or TRY to get Killing Frenzy, you won't get them. If you play regular games, it will just POP! out of nowhere!

A great way to do it if you have all the islands is to use the Algonquin safehouse, since it has elevator access which confuses the crap out of the cops (you could probably use Playboy X's which does too, but you'd probably get shot at through his balcony windows). Once you've got six stars, just stay there for five minutes. I used the phone to dial COP-555-0150 (which the game doesn't consider a cheat, i.e. doesn't lock achievements or anything) to raise my level by one star at a time. I didn't even have to leave my apartment to get the stars!

Gotta say that it's way more fun doing it the 'real' way though, all guns blazing.
