Far Cry 2 intro trailer mixes gameplay with developer commentary

The developer clips in this trailer are actually quite entertaining, with Far Cry 2's art director, Alex Amancio, explaining how the team almost got eaten by lions while camping in Africa (silly Quebecers, should have hired someone with lion-mastering experience). Far Cry 2 is expected later this year and will allegedly be the same game on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

The first Far Cry was pretty cool, not ground breaking on anything but not bad.
But this one looks even better!

I'd say it was somewhat innovative with regards to the large environments and freedom to take any route possible while choosing to utilize whatever vehicle was available. I did find the gameplay a bit bland, and they should've fine tuned it a bit better. And made it a little easier.

I liked the "powers" you got in the last game, meleeing a guy 200 feet off a cliff....and the lush jungle environments were very impressive.

I didn't have a computer that was good enough to run FarCry back in the day, so I never got to find out what all the hype is about. But I am told it was realy good.

Don't bother with Instincs: Predator for the 360 though. That killed it.

Geeze you have no excuse not to pick this game up now that you have a rig that can handle it. You would be able to do all the super high res hacks/tweaks and still get 100's of frames per second. FarCry was HELLA more impressive once you turned up the goodies and maxed it out. TRY IT. Great game..

*Plays in Xbox 360.The xbox 360 explodes.
*Plays in Ps3.The install procces indicates the install will finish in either 10 years of until Nuke Dukem Forever releases.Which happens first.
*Plays in Pc.Pc explodes.
*Gets New Pc
*Plays game but first set all graphical settings as low as possible.
*Enjoys playing in 15 KM of Brown boxes.

In Farcry 2 you have one mission: Kill The Jakal
you have to do other missions to accomplish that mission but they're not really missions.

It does look fun, I have to admit, but only because of the gameplay footage: the dialog felt... as if it were scripted by marketing.
