Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick's recent interview with CNBC may just be the least surprising one you'll hear all month. First off, he thinks the company made the right moves in holding Grand Theft Auto IV back from its original release and in refusing to acquiesce to the advances of Electronic Arts. Can you believe it?
Also, Zelnick insists that there are no glitches in GTA IV, which makes the news of today's incoming multiplayer patch for the PS3 version of the game just hysterical. Of course, when Strauss said that glitch line, we're pretty sure the interviewer was asking him in her own Draconian fashion if there's any hidden doin' it in the game. Now we're wondering if he's wrong about that too.
Update: The v1.01 patch is now live (18 MB) -- thanks to everyone for the heads-up!

"We're fine here. We had a slight... weapons malfunction, but we're all fine now, how are you?"
"We're sending a squad up,"
"Uhh, negative, negative. We've got a reactor leak up here, give us a few seconds to lock it down. Large leak, very dangerous."
"Who is this, what's your operating number?"
{Blam!}
"Boring conversation anyway... Luke! We're gonna have company!"
I don't know, his statement reminded me of that

Things that need to be fixed/added:
Make the text on the phone bigger, with a bright white background and black text. Heck, make the phone bigger too, filling as much as 1/4th the screen, just so long as I can actually read it.
Separate audio level for phone calls, along with a menu option to MUTE radio and environment sounds when taking a call.
Cars should be cars, not plastic boxes filled with helium balloons
When phone is on silent mode, friends will still send you txt msgs for non-essential activities. This needs to stop.
Is there somewhere in the menus where you can cancel/restart a mission? Without dying, getting arrested, or failing the objective, I mean. Would be nice if there was that option, as well as a mid-mission checkpoint.
Stop locking on to the wrong targets! also, there needs to be an option to disable lock-on entirely, and just make the left trigger for over-the-shoulder free aiming.

GTAIV Bricked my 360 system, no joke.
two years of glitch-free gaming, and within 24hrs of purchase, GTAIV started to freeze at the opening title. Deleted the save files, and then the next it auto-saves GRRRRR - the disc is scratched and useless.
So with a new GTAIV disc, a clean hardrive, and autosave turned off, I get to the 1st place to save, and GRRRRR- disc #2 is toast.
of course, Microsoft now says my system is not under warranty, and because of that, they won't replace the discs, because "the game is too new, we can't replace it, you'll have to wait until August. and THEN you can pay $20 for ONE disc, you should have called us as soon as the 1st one scratched" -add $100 just to look at, and I have to pay for shipping there and back- what is the point of pretending to help a customer? Micro$oft Tech is the worst in the world, arrogant, rude- they treated me like i was a toddler who drooled into the console, and that's why it broke... it couldn't be bad QC and cheap manufacturing, could it?
