PSN Thursday: A Haze-y afternoon of killin' PixelJunk Monsters
We're sure PS3 owners can carve out a little time today from all the GTA IV and echochrome playing to check out the demo for "exclusive" shooter Haze. Of course, what most are probably excited about is that PixelJunk Monsters' expansion is out today at a reasonable $6 price. There are also plenty of other little interesting things in the North Amercan update that might pique some of your interests, and it can all be found after the break.
The lists for this week's double dose of European PSN updates can be found over at PS3 Fanboy. Be sure to check out all their PlayStation Day coverage as well.

I downloaded the Haze demo from the Europe store the other day. It's the generic garbage most of us knew it would be. It kind of sucks though because all of Free Radicals other games have been day 1 buys for me.

Really? I was expecting just another shooter from Haze, but was actually pretty good for a 'Demo'.

I just played the demo. It's a really good shooter, I was pretty impressed. I liked the environment a lot too.
But yeah, still just another shooter. Just like Halo 3 was just another shooter... yawn... Definitely better than Halo 3 though, IMO.

COD4 theme = out
Pixeljunk Mosters theme = in
I will probably try all the demos, although I dont really have high hopes for any of them

yea im not even downloading Grid because it just sounds like another arcade racer (which im not too fond of). and im not nearly as excited for Haze as i was once upon a time. i figure if i dont get my hopes up, i wont be disappointed if it sucks. and Bourne is essentially a movie game so no dice there.
aim low.

I thought the haze demo was pretty good. I actually beat it, which is something that i can't say about most of the demos I play.

The Hazo demo led me to believe it was generic FPS BS. It would be nice to be wrong.

Hm. I actually liked Haze. Wasn't incredible, but I don't think it's unreasonable to hope that the single player campaign will be far off of the Halo 3 single player campaign. (Granted, Halo 3's strong point is definitely online) Of course - the online element in Haze is mostly yet to be seen.
Anyway, been planning on getting Haze for a while now and the demo was fulfilling enough to keep said plans intact.
