He's hit the nail right on the head. Still no DualShock 3 announced for Europe. Sub-par online service when you compare it to the 360s (though still superior to the Wii's). Multiplatform titles have suffered greatly on the PS3 (GTA IV Orange Box). There still is no system seller for the PS3 (discounting GTA). MGS4? Perhaps.

All his comments, bar the last, are astute observations & perfectly reasonable. PS3 has in fact outsold the Xbox in the last few months, especially in Europe & Japan.

Here in Europe the delays are even more frequent, especially PSN content which is either set back by months (Everyday Shooter anyone?) or just never arrives (Symphony of the Night Super Puzzle Fighter HD). Xbox Live never has these problems.

Sony Europe is the reason Home is being delayed as well. Here's what the president of Sony Europe had to say about European customers:
"European
consumers have shown that historically they don't mind [the delays], because
they end up buying as many PlayStations, if not more, than the US and Japan.
In Europe, it doesn't seem that the release of our platforms after the US and
Japan-in the long run-affects how consumers feel ... If we were sitting here in
five years' time, I don't think we'd really think about or notice that
PlayStation 3 was four or five months later in Europe."

I guess we'll just have to accept that unconditionally then. Well I DO mind the delays. Sony needs to sort themselves out or they'll end up punching themselves out of the fight.

Honestly, the man makes a lot of good points. I'm pretty upset with all the delays my black box has seen. But a lot of you talk about a lack of games?

I myself own 10 games for my ps3 (600 dollars!) and would own many more if I could afford it. Sure the numbers are definitely in the favor of the 360, but not so much that it really makes a difference. Also, and this is just purely opinion, the PS3 has the games that I like to play. I think you have far too much time on you hands if you manage to play more than 15 games or so regularly.

Capping this off, I'm really getting tired of all this garbage. Greenberg/Hirai, stfu and fix your consoles respective problems. kthnxby.

I sold my 360 to get a ps3 a while back. I DEEPLY REGRET IT. The PS3 is waaay overrated and promises aren't enough to keep me interested anymore. As soon as the XBox gets a blu-ray i'm selling my PS3 for an XBox again.

Lets face facts Sony want the Ps3 to have a 10 yr life cycle where as MS will be bringing Xbox No. 3 out around 2012. I find it rather funny 1st Sony say they want to leave Online etc up to developers but now they want it universally integrated like live and trying to build it round the games and not the other way round. Sony Online will never be on par or overtake XBLive. There is a big difference between not rushing and not delivering or going back on promises etc, And Sony are very talented at that.

I'm not a Fan boy as such but i will not support a company that goes back on their word constantly etc

Would you buy a car that is meant to have a really good safety feature you want only to find that they dropped it or dont have the license to produce it - NO You'd buy a car you can trust.
