New cities? Pfft! How about an entire state?! While rummaging through the Rockstar Social Club, a GTAForums poster uncovered the plane ticket pictured above (full view). Looks like Niko is headed to the fine state of San Andreas, famous for its lowriders and piping hot coffee. Whether it's the stuff of fan fiction or a not-so-subtle hint of content to come, your guess is as good as ours, but the ticket does rekindle last month's rumor that the exclusive GTA IV DLC for Xbox 360 will feature "new downloadable cities." What's curious is that the flight isn't destined for one of San Andreas' specific airports, but rather the state itself. What could it mean? Well, for one, that you'd need a bigger hard drive.
Alternate theory: The "San Andreas" on this plane ticket could be a reference to the original San Andreas, a top-down city based on San Francisco, from the first Grand Theft Auto.

This would be amazing if it were true. The new content is suppose to come out in the fall right? I wonder if the 10:15 AM might mean October 15th?

Someone should check to see if this is in both versions. If it isn't in the PS3 version that would be a huge hint.

Damnit, I somehow missed that it was on the social site and not in game.

If it is not true, then MS got shit for the 50mil. My guess is that this is the kind of thing they are going to do. Good for 360 owners with space on their HDD.
I will have plenty to play aside from this, and I am content with waiting for L.A. Noire, the new franchise from Rockstar that is PS3 exclusive, and of course
GTA5 which more than likely will be PS3 only.

@ White Sox
You realize that GTAIV is selling better on the 360 right? Do you really think Rockstar would turn away from the larger user base and guaranteed sales? Not bloodly likely.

Dan Houser said it himself that if the 360 does not resolve its storage issue, then GT5 will be PS3 exclusive. He also said that his games will only get bigger, so where will it all fit on that puny DVD9?
His words not mine.
Rockstar also said about a year ago that they wanted to do a game JUST for the PS3 so that they can take FULL advantage of the Cell. Again, Rockstar's words not mine.

According to Fernando, the Wii version is selling the most.
Yes the 360 version is selling more, there are 5mil+ more 360's out there. However the PS3 version is more than holding its own, and has sold more than enough for Rockstar to take notice.

No way they'll put a whole state, liberty city is already a few gigs. As if they'll make a whole state dlc that'll be like 10 gigs. I think..

I know that you're probably a spoiled console owner who never played a JRPG but as a long PC user I can assure you that contrary to popular beliefs, switching discs will NOT give you cancer or cause your dick to rot away and fall off. It's completely safe, trust me.

It won't come in at 10 gigs usning previous textures in the game stuff that's already stored on the DVD9 it'll probably come in at 2 or 3gb's at the most.
I say a 1gb or less would be enough to recreate San Andreas if you really think about it...

Is anyone else lol'ing that he flies on air SOL? (Shit out of luck)? Genius.
If I had to guess though, I'd say that the DLC will definitely be somewhere you need to take a plane ride too. Why? Because Rockstar has modeled in planes, with high resolutions, and they've gone so far as to make an entire airport that is otherwise seemingly pointless. I was kinda shocked when I went up in a helicopter and discovered that the planes were actually 3D, with physics of their own, and they could fly within the GTAIV world. That's ALOT of trouble to go through if there weren't even plans to let you fly them at some point (or fly in them).
Whatever, we'll find out. If this is true though, THIS is the DLC that won't be coming to PS3 =P

So the fact that the PS3 version is holding its own is ROCK SOLID PROOF that GTA5 won't be on the 360?

Oh fuck that would be awesome. Even if they just gave us SA with no missions and all the areas unlocked I'd spend all my life on that.

same here. But I hope they add the parachute. That, single handedly, gave SA a ton of replayability.

Except GTA4 takes place like 10 years after San Andreas... so unless CJ is older, probably not.

Thinking about it, isn't the 360 supposed to have 2 exclusive DLCs?
If the rumors are about the DLC being cities, wouldn't it be cool if one was San Andreas and the Other Vice City?

I think I will pick up a 360 later on, when the newer chipset comes out to try out this DLC and of course the many other games. Loving the inferior version of GTA4 on the inferior console so far.
I've actually thought of sadly swapping my PS3 with a 360 but since my brother paid for most of it, I got a good deal anyways.

After playing through the new Liberty City I kind of think it would be nice to see the old Liberty City as DLC. Just have it make use of resources like buildings and textures from the new game but make it have the same layout as GTA3/Liberty City Stories.

Very interesting, but I still have doubt deep down. However it is interesting because recently Microsoft said that Rockstar was hinting at new cities, and Microsoft did put a down payment of $50 million so something has to be good coming our way.

Yeah right lmao. If this is DLC you can guarantee sony won't be getting it cause something this large would definitely be one or both of the microsoft paid ones. Sony's NOT getting something like this for nothing.

It'll be for both systems. I read somewhere the exclusive 360 content is just missions for MS, taking RROD 360's back and forth from the customer to the warehouse to get fixed.

And the PS3 gets a similar exclusive mission--except you have to ship individual pixels to the Sony warehouse until you finally reach "True HD" status.

They should make a fanboy game for each console. Basically, you create the avatar of your forum/internet nemesis and say stupid things like "put that in your pipes" and "RROD LULZ WE HATEZ XBOTZ" all day. Oh and beat them up too, and buy them horse armor and laugh. That would easily outsell GTA

Tim, they already created that game. Its called Joystiq. Its free to play and very fun. I give it a 9.0, leaving off the last point for the inaudible soundtrack and the stupid black screens.

Yeah, I'm sure Rockstar is gonna give out San Andreas as DLC for 50 million, I'm guessing they will make a full game out of it and get another 500 million. 360 will get some new missions and guns, clothes, no cities.
