Rumor: Rare game a sequel to a released 360 title

I say it's a 50/50 throw up between Viva Pinata 2 and the next Perfect Dark game. I say this because the original VP pretty much tanked correct? I also don't see how it could really improve on the original gameplay so soon after the last game was released. It feels like a series that should only have one installment every 5 years or so.

If it was just VP with new animals I think I'd still get it!

Actually X3F I think your wrong. It's MUCH more likely to be a Perfect Dark sequal than Viva Pinata imho.

Why? Two reasons.

The first is that Viva Pinata came out in 06, whereas PDZ was a full year earlier in 05 - it's time for a new great FPS like PDZ again. Sure, its dated now (the aiming is poor, single player isn't as great as it was) but at the time it had some of the best, lag free multiplayer ever with a good single player to match. If they could speed up the gameplay a little, it would be great.

Secondly, Gears 2 coming out doesn't mean a new Perfect Dark can't come the same year. With all Sony's exclusive big hitters (minus Killzone 2 now) hitting this year, Microsoft need more big hitters in response - Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 were on the cards to release same year just mere days ago, remember?

I think it's more likely to be a new Perfect Dark. I hope so, as much as I enjoyed Viva Pinata. This year M$ need to worry about the BEST titles rather than attracting the child/casual market to counteract PS3.

I'd rather see a HUGE kameo, like oblivion huge.
Or you might see a Perfect Dark that rivals the size of Resistance for MP stuff.

I love the first VIVA PINATA. It's is a shame it did not sell better.

I hope for both a new Perfect Dark game and a new Viva Piñata title.

I would put PD as more likely to come this year though.

VP was at around 500,000 shortly after the price cut, it didn't do too terribly on a system not know for games like this.

But I'd definitely pick it up if true, I loved the original.

The show is still on the air, so maybe there'd be a bit more interest this time around.

I want to see more Perfect Dark.

I think that a Kameo sequal could be possible. Banjo and Kameo are very different, BUT the team that makes Banjo makes Viva Jinata. So that alone makes me think Viva Pinata 2 won't get a sequal so fast.

I think it is either Kameo or Perfect Dark- and it has been 3 years (I am talking about holiday 08, when it will come out)- so it seems very possible.

Please GOD make it a badass Perfect Dark.

I so hope there is a new PD because I like my shooters.

As you can tell by my icon you know where my hope lies. One of the true gems that were looked over in gaming history. My only change would be more online dlc and customization.

I doubt it's another viva pinata simply because that would be the fourth one to release since 2006. I'd say that another Perfect Dark is a better bet. With Rare back on form a new Perfect Dark could be great...

it was actually unofficial announced by a rare employee back in august that they where making a perfect dark 2. I too would like a VP2, but I would much rather have a pd2, and thats what their making.
