The latest Facebraker profile (above) is of Steve, your typical fat nerd cliché. We've also placed the video for Romeo after the break. With a September release as part of EA Sports' new Freestyle brand, we're looking forward to getting some hands-on time with Facebreaker at E3. Hopefully the gameplay will enhance the fun and diminish the creepiness we feel in these trailers.

mmm...Romeo has a spaniard accent AND he dances to salsa?...
I know Im being picky, but it would have been cool if they would have given him Spaniard accent and Flamenco or a Puerto Rican/Cuban accent and Salsa...
...but then again, Puerto Rican/Cuban accent doesn't really scream Romeo...lol

I'm not into sports games, but Dropkick Murphys made this video worth the watch.

The characters are nice, I really like the fact that the nerdy ninja dude looks like a giant panda. :D
The character animations look fun too.

When I first heard about this title, I was thinking that it was going to be along the lines of Ready to Rumble, which to me was the shit back in the day. I am not feeling this to much right about now, but maybe its just me.

pretty cool. But what's with the punch + launches into the air moves? They look a little excessive, imo

erm... doesnt anyone remember READY TO RUMBLE? this is a complete rip off/rehash of the franchise and that looked better even on the humble ps2!
AND it had a novel character: Micheal Jackson!

This wouldn't even be identifiable as a boxing game if they weren't wearing gloves. Pass.

Ugh... so good to know EA is hunting down nerd references to pound into one of their characters. Amazing how they'd willingly attack the same people they expect to shell out $60 for this game.
Now all we need is some goth rock emo chick cliche. I mean, is EA seriously trolling facebook to get these character designs?

So Facebreaker is just a next-gen Ready 2 Rumble Boxing, then? Could be fun. Let's face it, looking like that it can't afford not to be.
That said, they lost me at "Dropkick Murphys". Ugh.

This looks good, really fun. I wish there was a DS or PSP version, though.

Ready 2 Rumble for Dreamcast already accomplished everything this game is going for, minus all the kicking.
