great point. God of War II had that same "Coming Soon 200x" thing talking about the PSP game. i wouldnt be surprised if it did release then, but at the same time, i would be surprised if they ran into complications and it got delayed or something. but the release schedule so far seems to play towards it, especially since they are rumored to have been working on it for a while now anyway.

Have reasons/excuses ever been given as to why so many PS3 titles and ports are unfortunately delayed? Hard to program for the PS3? What?

A new marketing strategy: absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Yeah, usually it's just that the game simply isn't finished.

i think its cause its harder/different to program for and devs dont take that into account when they make predictions about when it will be done. hopefully it wont be happening too much longer with devs grasping the technology and Sony finally trying to make the dev kit easier to work with.

God of War rocked so hard. I should probably get my lazy ass around to picking up the second game before this comes out.

Lol this will definitely be delayed. If it comes out around the same time as FFXIII though that will be a major reason for any body to consider the ps3...

For me though I'll pass. FFXIII already looks to be more of the same and I doubt Kratos will bring anything new to the table in Part III of story.

And I love it when people say "I'll pass" when they don't even own the system.

I'm glad somethings never change. Makes waking up on Monday mornings a bit easier.

And I'll probably pre-order in autumn unless asked sooner.

Omega 3? As in the fatty acid? Sounds fishy.

Actually, if you look back at past God of War games, they all came out two years after their predecessors. God of War II (2007) came out two years after God of War (2005). Save for Chains of Olympus (2008), which only came out a year after GOW II. But the significant thing about those releases are that they were all in the month of March.

I pre-ordered on Amazon. I'm not worried if it will be good enough. Its one of their key IPs.
