Joystiq bringing out the FF7 love today, I like. Also, yes barrett is one bad man (and a very cliched stereotype as well)!

Nice Wii sales.

By the way, the week GTA and Mario Kart were released, that week was the best for the Wii since the holidays.

700,000 Wii's sold in April.

Fernando,

Are you just trying to deflect your possible loss on the bet? Something like "Yeah GTA beat Mario Kart like a readheaded step-child, but Wii sold tons!"

Wow, second highest percentage increase for the xbox360. What's going on? Japan finally found the love. Pretty soon the 360 will be selling better than the PS2!

Doo-oom and Gloo-oom!

Mark my words, before this generation is over, the 360 will be selling better than the PS2.

*smiles*

Damn it Microsoft, just give up on Japan, your doing so well in other territories like North America and Europe, be grateful for having success in those regions. Whats the big deal with taking over the whole world?

You secure some Japanese exclusives like Tales of Vesperia to get Japanese sales but it still sells poorly there and will keep doing so.

Face it, these games should be on the PS3, they'll get many more sales in Japan at least and you know it.

Or release it for 360 here and PS3 in Japan.

How about grandmothers? Link's Grandma deserves recognition for raising two kids and making soup that buffs her grandchildren up like Mark Maguire at an "All You Can Inject Anabolic" festival.

The PSP's several consecutive weeks of being #1 is starting.
Oh, I know. The mom in Animal Crossing. She gave me money and actually wrote to me...unlike my real mom.

Microsoft doesn't need to give up on Japan, they need to redouble their efforts and cut the price in half so I can buy one really really cheap. (They can give up after that I guess).

In all honest, part of the problem I think has to do with advertising. I don't remember the last time I saw an ad on TV for an xbox360. Microsoft has a hard enough time in Japan I don't know how they expect to sell them when no one has even heard of it.

Mom from pokemon? I'm disappointed, Joystiq. Ness's mom was more useful. Heck, the series is called Mother in Japan even.

I'm new to the paying attention of sales charts things...

What do the percentages mean? They don't make a lick of sense to me.

I'm going to apologize now because I've never played through FF7, but were you going for the Dexter's Lab reference in that last sentence about Barret?

To all the people who say the wii bubble is about to burst or it is a fad. Take note of the chart this week. The PSP is still on top and it is still growing in sales, but much slower.

Ergo, the "Monster Hunter" bubble is about to burst, as it is only a fad.

Note the difference between the two and then proceed to say, "You are right Mr. Lonecow! How could I have ever doubted you?"

If it keeps up, Nintendo will be pressured to rejuvenate the DS somehow. :D
