That picture has a Teen Titans look to it. I don't know why, but it reminds me of Teen Titans. He looks like someone from Teen Titans.

I have my doubts about this being fake. It's concept art. A lot of concept art looks pretty ridculous in the early stages.

Why would Nintendo restyle Pit for Brawl...and then completely overhaul his design a 2nd time for his grand return?

If in fact this is legit I'll be keeping my eye on it.

This has to be a joke, right? It's like they took the Angry Prince artwork from PoP2 and gave him a bow. Bow..sword..Bow-sword.

Who is propagating the idea that character design has to be EXTREME in the sequel/remake? This person ought to be raped by African bees.

In the next Jak and Daxter, Jak is going to dress like Spawn and rape his enemies to death.

Why are you all calling fake when these are the people who broke the story about Factor 5 and Kid' in the first place? On top of that these are the same guys who called out SK about Ureal 3 and they were ripped apart on that, yet it turned out true... they also broke the news on Red Steel exposing the first true Wii title(As AMN)

People are just talking out of their asses Pixarfan. Kombo, formerly AMN, has an excellent track record. They don't post something unless it is from a reputable source. It is conceptual art, that why there are some any different styles. How many times does Kombo have to be right to get the respect they deserve?

If feet is bigger then the head is the reason why it's fake, then you should count out Warcraft 3, Street Fighter Alpha Series, and Gears of Wars.

Yep, sounds like bullsh*t to me! If Nintendo were to release a new Kid Icarus game I doubt this is the direction it would take - it would probably be more light-hearted fare (in which you had to lose 50lb's and "improve your brain" to complete. Man, they've really lost the plot recently, and it pains me to say that cos I used to be a huge Nintendo fan. Lame!

All right, I've just started reading all this buzz and felt compelled to speak up.

First off, I think the swiftness with which folk have passed judgment on this artwork is ridiculous. I doubt any of the pieces linked from these articles was worked on for more than three hours. This is not promotional artwork, this is concept art, and I doubt the studio can afford to commission all of its artists to produce package ready artwork for a project that isn't even greenlit yet. As an artist myself, I respect the amount of work that was put into a large amount of these images, even though the images themselves aren't perfect.

That said, I personally DO NOT like the direction this project, if it is real, is taking on the franchise. It's becoming too much of a trend to blatantly head towards the "dark and edgy" route, and for a series as vibrant as Kid Icarus has been, it's unnecessary. While I'm not a huge fan of Pit's redesign in Brawl either (I think the combination non-era tights, dual blades, age progression, and flower-y conservative anime appearance to be a little meh myself), I do think that design lends itself more to the character of the franchise's past than what we see here.

I think the gaming world of today needs more vibrant, thrilling adventure games, with solid gameplay, that don't rely on blatantly mature themes to invoke our feelings of awe and suspense. Rare didn't turn DK into a rambo-inspired street ape to give us a new and entertaining angle on his character back in the 90's, and Factor 5 can do the same for Pit today. Though a feeble franchise, Kid Icarus still has many strengths to build from, but the current artistic direction threatens to burn those to the ground in favor of something ludicrously different. That's a bad move.

Right now, I'm not seeing much here outside of God of War and Prince of Persia territory, with a little Twilight Princess flare. You can do better Factor 5. You can do better.

The first thing I thought of when i saw this was HE MAN DEFENDER OF THE GALAXIES! I think that if this was the real art not allot of people would like it, like the super smash bros brawl art for pit design appeals to a wide audience, and this art kinda narrows it down... not to mention it's just plain terrible. I know these are concept sketches (if there real, pleez god noes), but I draw myself.. and I'm sorry but these are really, really bad. And this dark theme isn't really good for a series like Kid Icarus. It was awesome with twilight princess, but I can't see the series going in a darker type of direction, and just because it isn't a "darker" game doesn't mean that it can't have a rich storyline. The main thing I want in a sequel is A Kid Icarus game that stays close to it's roots, and uses the brawl design, or a SLIGHTLY modified image of it, instead of having an angry he man with wings, and has an epic story to boot XD ps- if i posted this twice im sorry =_=;;
