I saw Death Cab at Coachella this year. They seemed solid but unnecessary. Like they were a really great band 5 years ago.

Not knowing Death Cab but knowing some lame country star is kind of embarrassing...but to each his own.

And just a heads up: DCFC's latest attempt is so incredibly slow and predictable. Beautifully produced and gorgeous in sound but just too same-y and lounge-y to make a difference in one's library. So care with risk!

Yeah, because Death Cab has so much credability after appearing on the OC...

To Captain Obvious:

Surely a bands credibility as musicians does not lie on which hit tv shows their music is allowed to be used in? Plans was a nice chilled effort, but not my taste. Transatlanticism is a fine album all the way through and their next album sounds interesting from the little I've heard of it.

DCFC are not one of my favourite bands, but one I listen to quite frequently. As a music-lover, I couldn't care less if Pink Floyd or The Beatles were used in One Tree Hill next week, the music stands on its own.

Hahahaha, you're kidding, right? Sorry you're so unaware of anything going on around you, but they're a bit bigger than their OC "debut". Ever heard of websites/magazines like Pitchfork, Stereogum, Spin, or PASTE (just to name the blatant giants)? No? Even if you're not culturally aware (Oh wait, you have to be 'cause you're always up-to-date with the latest OC news!) you should recognize their overplayed singles on the likes of MTV and VH1. But hey, I'm glad you know enough about music to have such insight to correct me.

Get back to your precious weekly top 40's, Captain.

Personally I'm so tired of Gibbard's voice between DCFC and his seemingly endless side projects that I can't even bring myself to listen to anything he does... regardless of how great or bad it might be.

Give Death Cab's new album a listen, and you'll probably be kicking yourself for not knowing who they are (or any of their albums, in my opinion). Out of the four, they're the only one that I'VE heard of.

I'm not a well rounded music listener. I almost exclusively listen to EBM (electronic body music) old and new. Very few bands can tear me away from my eletronica. Death Cab and The Postal Service are on my list though, they're both sublime and tempered. Tight.

Haha, I hear you bro.
This is like that one month where they had Wisin Y Yandel and everyone was like
"Who the hell are these people?"

Haha, no but seriously, Voltio is a great reggaeton artist and I am glad Microsoft is making a greater hit to its latin customers.
