The problem with GH4 going full band is that I sure as hell don't have any space in my tiny little room for ANOTHER drum set and another guitar and due to Activision's prior behavior on guitar compatibility I doubt their drums and new guitar will work with Rock Band and vice versa.

Create-a-track does nothing for me, mostly because i'm lazy. Making my character in rock band was a chore. I really hate creating anything. I doubt i'm going to feel like making my own music on what will surely be a very annoying user interface.

I'll just pass on this game.

I would like to see the future of Wii DLC. With WiiWare out, it is easy to implement the DLC. Also, Nintendo is working on a storage solution, and we already know that Nintendo is fine with working with Activision. (As known with the future DS Guitar Hero bundle)

If the Share a Song feature is coming to the Wii, which the source says, then DLC is also possible.

You know there is room for two rythmn based games. All these people bitching about RB over GH are just as stupid as console fanboys. Who gives a shit? Neither company does. Showing your 'allegiance' to one means nothing. I guess there should only be one shooter, rpg, adventure game. There is no 'blatant ripoffs' here, because you could say that about almost every game you play.

If, by some grace of God, the Rock Band equipment is compatible, I am in like Flint. If not--I may pass, despite my love for all four bands mentioned.

I'm gonna have to add those to my Rock Band drums and make the Ultimate Fake Neal Peart Kitâ„¢. Oh yes. I will do it. Maybe not.

In honor of this "breakthrough" in the GH Series, I'm going to compose one of the first breakthrough songs for GH Tunes.

It will be called "Jmp th Shrk". It will consist entirely of Quint-Chords and hammer-ons, while the drum charts will require somebody to have three hands.

As much as I'd like to think there's room on the market for two full-band games, the news that GH will use a 6-pad kit means that I'll need two seperate sets of gear.

The market may have room, but my living room sure as heck doesn't.

I dont know if its just me, but i enjoy GH 3 much more than RB. I like how the notes look in GH3.

In RB, i hated the fact that most of the songs are just about strumming, few pull off/hummer on's !

Also, i loved GH3 for the variety of songs it has, ranging from old to modern music. Dont know why people hated the tracklist.

I hope they add bands from finland as i know they've got great bands out there !!!

I already have a Guitar Hero create-a-track. It's called Frets on Fire, and I'll put money that it lets me do more than Activision's copyright-fearing nonsense will. I guess we'll see. Can't really blame them, it's their only hope to outshine Rock Band.

actually, create a track is a pretty sweet idea. my friend and I use a program called Feedback to write custom songs, and they've come out great. if the create-a-track is anything like feedback, it will be a hit (although pretty hard to use correctly, you'd be surprised). you can check out the custom song vids at youtube (usernames are dbendes and ogicu8abruok0. just search them on the channels part of youtube).

you can also download feedback on a site called scorehero, but you need a modded ps2. and please read the stickies on the site if you do.

Rock Band was far too easy for my taste. For the guitar part, Expert on Rock Band was like Hard on GH3. I had no trouble passing songs the first time through on RB. There was no challenge. I got bored with Rock Band very quickly due to this, so I still MUCH prefer GH. I'm looking forward to a new GH game, and would buy it as soon as it comes out.

okay rock band is fun
but i think guitar hero 3 overall was way better put togther than gh2 or rock band, rock band is such a joke i dont get entertainment out of the guitar portion
and i cant even hear anything else if someone plays the drums
i like them both
but im buying guitar hero 4 long before i buy a rock band 2
