Viva Piñata, Scene It? sequels revealed by Microsoft
Yeesh, the good ship Microsoft has had so many leaks we'll be shocked if it can even stay afloat for tomorrow's Gamer's Day event being held in San Francisco. While doing some pre-briefing site combing, one intrepid NeoGAF user discovered confirmation to sequels for Viva Piñata (sub-titled Trouble in Paradise) and Scene It?. Can you guess which one we're more excited about?
What's more, the NeoGAFfers even dug up some screenshots from the game for you to enjoy. Just do us a favor and look surprised tomorrow. We don't want to hurt Jeff Bell's feelings.

Viva Pinata Sequel?
BEST. NEWS. EVER.
Dadidito @ May 12th 2008 9:56AM
I am so happy. This is the best of the sleeper non hits that shouldve been in the last 5 years. :)
NATO_Duke @ May 12th 2008 10:19AM
Agreed. This is was a great game and deserves a sequel. I know many "hardcore" gamers who played the hell out of this one.
Marty @ May 12th 2008 10:53AM
Viva Piñata was surprisingly fun and addictive, and I hope the sequel follows suit. Good stuff!
StrangeBum @ May 12th 2008 11:41AM
I'm going to have to concur with each and every one of you.
I could be classified as hard/med-core gamer and Viva Pinata was one of the games that truly made me the fan of the 360 that I am today. Granted it came out for PC later, but I really really love that game.
McWeen @ May 12th 2008 8:02AM
I really liked the Scene It for 360 because I'm really into movies but I can't say I've played it enough to buy a full blown sequel. I would have preferred downloadable content to expand the existing game.
Nick Ritch @ May 12th 2008 12:55PM
I definately agree. I much prefer the 360 version over the dvd game. I just wish they would release all the cool versions they have in dvd format(marvel, turner classic movies, etc.) over xbox live. My mom had a blast playing it yesterday.
Esat Dedezade @ May 12th 2008 8:04AM
This is relevant to my interests.

Why in the world would you not release DLC for Scene It? The game begs for continual growth through DLC. This is how MS is doing it wrong. They want to promote the downloading of digital content and rather than expand on an existing product ala RockBand/GuitarHero they're going to release another boxed edition at the same old $60 price point. They're really missing their own point, aren't they?
IncredibleBulk92 @ May 12th 2008 8:30AM
That was my first thought too. But what if they released the $60 version with the controllers and questions and all that jazz but then also released $20 DLC with all the questions, videos and everything else. That would be pretty cool.
Most important to a scene it sequel would be to make a couple more of those shadow puppet animations. Seeing that same fricking guy doing the same fricking animation after every fricking round got old real fast
aristokrat @ May 12th 2008 2:50PM
Because they know we are all acheivement whores and getting a new game will give you 1000 more points as opposed to the usual 250 for DLC!

VP2?! Yes please! Oh, but this time please let us take screenshots/video, and visit our friends' gardens. That's was pretty much the only thing the first one was missing.
So excited...

Hopefully this isn't viewed as advertising or anything. I have no relation to either company, it's just what I use for recording games while playing them in HD.
ncxcstud @ May 12th 2008 8:36AM
I really enjoy Scene It! Of course I'd be more excited for DLC for it than a full blown sequel... Could the sequel still possibly be DLC though? I'll probably get it regardless. My wife and I love Scene It. We have 3 board games and the 360 game :)
RanWitScissorz @ May 12th 2008 9:17AM
Woot VP2! Such a great game.
Philonious @ May 12th 2008 9:24AM
I'm curious: Are the 'similarities' to Kotaku's story incidental, or does someone need a new editor?

I never played the first VP, but I heard it was underrated.I hope M$ actually puts a decent marketing push behind the sequel.
NATO_Duke @ May 12th 2008 10:21AM
Thanks for using M$ again to remind us all how cool you are.
Obie @ May 12th 2008 10:49AM
After 3 of their consoles red-ringed on me,I am allowed to poke fun at them. Quit getting your panties in a bunch.
NATO_Duke @ May 12th 2008 11:28AM
Dude, you do it every post. Its gotten old.
So yeah, I'll bunch my panties if I want to. :P
Lone Starr @ May 12th 2008 9:56AM
WOO HOO

Banjo Kazooie 3 and Viva Pinata 2? AMAZING YEAR for the 360.
LlamaFarmer @ May 12th 2008 10:27AM
YAY! I hope VP2 has llama pinatas :)-
Steve @ May 12th 2008 10:33AM
I see the shovel and water can up at the same time. VP Multiplayer? Please?
Nigeria @ May 12th 2008 11:19AM
Last week I downloaded the Viva Pinata demo, I played it, and it was really, really fun. I really liked it, especially when some sort of zebra-worm came into my garden. And you know that music that comes on? I can't describe it, but it was glorious.
Though, I don't know whether I'll buy that game or this new sequel as there's a DS version waiting in the wings. In fact, it's supposedly finished. So I'll probably buy that. But those screenshots do look really cool.
NATO_Duke @ May 12th 2008 12:17PM
Its a cheap game now, and more than worth its price. As the new animals come it keeps getting better and really nver gets old.
tifosiotaku @ May 12th 2008 12:12PM
I find it hilarious that you guys are citing GAF as a source when they wordfiltered Joystiq for "misinformation"...
DBuck_Eye @ May 12th 2008 4:07PM
Where is the DS Viva Pinata?
Wubbytoes @ May 12th 2008 5:03PM
Awesome, I loved Viva Pinata. It was Rare's best game since the N64 days.

Viva Pinata 2: Estrogen the Game
jake18oly @ May 12th 2008 6:35PM
I actually really liked Viva Pinata and Scene It. It will be nice to have more than one game to use my big button controllers for.
