Yeesh, the good ship Microsoft has had so many leaks we'll be shocked if it can even stay afloat for tomorrow's Gamer's Day event being held in San Francisco. While doing some pre-briefing site combing, one intrepid NeoGAF user discovered confirmation to sequels for Viva Piñata (sub-titled Trouble in Paradise) and Scene It?. Can you guess which one we're more excited about?
What's more, the NeoGAFfers even dug up some screenshots from the game for you to enjoy. Just do us a favor and look surprised tomorrow. We don't want to hurt Jeff Bell's feelings.

I am so happy. This is the best of the sleeper non hits that shouldve been in the last 5 years. :)

Viva PiƱata was surprisingly fun and addictive, and I hope the sequel follows suit. Good stuff!

I'm going to have to concur with each and every one of you.
I could be classified as hard/med-core gamer and Viva Pinata was one of the games that truly made me the fan of the 360 that I am today. Granted it came out for PC later, but I really really love that game.

I definately agree. I much prefer the 360 version over the dvd game. I just wish they would release all the cool versions they have in dvd format(marvel, turner classic movies, etc.) over xbox live. My mom had a blast playing it yesterday.

Why in the world would you not release DLC for Scene It? The game begs for continual growth through DLC. This is how MS is doing it wrong. They want to promote the downloading of digital content and rather than expand on an existing product ala RockBand/GuitarHero they're going to release another boxed edition at the same old $60 price point. They're really missing their own point, aren't they?

That was my first thought too. But what if they released the $60 version with the controllers and questions and all that jazz but then also released $20 DLC with all the questions, videos and everything else. That would be pretty cool.
Most important to a scene it sequel would be to make a couple more of those shadow puppet animations. Seeing that same fricking guy doing the same fricking animation after every fricking round got old real fast

Because they know we are all acheivement whores and getting a new game will give you 1000 more points as opposed to the usual 250 for DLC!

VP2?! Yes please! Oh, but this time please let us take screenshots/video, and visit our friends' gardens. That's was pretty much the only thing the first one was missing.
So excited...

For capturing video:
http://www.myhava.com
For samples of what you can do with it go onto www.vimeo.com and search for Vcize.
Hopefully this isn't viewed as advertising or anything. I have no relation to either company, it's just what I use for recording games while playing them in HD.

I'm curious: Are the 'similarities' to Kotaku's story incidental, or does someone need a new editor?

Last week I downloaded the Viva Pinata demo, I played it, and it was really, really fun. I really liked it, especially when some sort of zebra-worm came into my garden. And you know that music that comes on? I can't describe it, but it was glorious.
Though, I don't know whether I'll buy that game or this new sequel as there's a DS version waiting in the wings. In fact, it's supposedly finished. So I'll probably buy that. But those screenshots do look really cool.

I find it hilarious that you guys are citing GAF as a source when they wordfiltered Joystiq for "misinformation"...
