Metal Gear Solid 4 intro video sneaks out

The intro for Metal Gear Solid 4 is up and let us tell you: War, it has, like, totally changed. There aren't any real spoilers in the video above, so feel free to watch; unless you've been avoiding all media on MGS4 and its story so far.

For those who have been paying attention to the media and still know next to nothing about what's going on in the MGS plotline (join the club), sit tight and wait until GameTrailers' excellent Metal Gear Retrospective starts making sense of it all. With any luck, MGS4 will come with an optional, "Previously on Metal Gear Solid" opening.

So the MGS intro is sprung on Gamers' Day? NO WAY!

I guess that (console) war has changed.

I actually love this intro.

lol@taking games too seriously. If anyone is looking to video games for some kind of grandiose "message" then you really have no business playing games. Clearly a lot about the MGS series is tongue-in-cheek, so "why so serious?" I'm excited for it and I'll definitely be picking up the PS3 bundle.

Oh and that was directed towards those complaining about the anti-war rhetoric and the hard-to-suspend-disbelief story lines.

it just seems like the translated japanese version to me.. it just didn't translate very well.

Though i find it funny no one decided to point out all the bad puns in the over all series.. Like a group called fox hound trying to find a man called fox.. And as if there's no such thing as a gear made out of metal.

They can rewrite the introduction, but the theme of it is pretty cool, for snake war has changed. Instead of being a soldier, you're apart of a network that can be controlled at a push of a button.
