Vegeta (aka Ska Oreo) @ May 13th 2008 12:28PM
Gears of Wars 2 managed to become more bad ass in my eyes.
xFenixKnightx @ May 13th 2008 12:31PM
Took the words outta mah mouth! Marcus Fenix stood over the Locust punching his lights out!! Fuck yeah!
D_Average @ May 13th 2008 12:30PM
Seriously guys, do we have to say "badass" everytime we describe Gears 2? Its kind of like describing Metallica as a band that "Rocks Hard"
Vegeta (aka Ska Oreo) @ May 13th 2008 12:30PM
Yes. Yes we do.
Vegeta (aka Ska Oreo) @ May 13th 2008 12:30PM
Yes. Yes we do.
D_Average @ May 13th 2008 12:37PM
I suppose stating how redundant that is would be a moot point by now.
embassy @ May 13th 2008 12:42PM

Is it wrong that I'm most excited about Viva Pinata? That game was brilliant and still easily in my top ten for this generation. My only concern is that they place too much emphasis on multiplayer for you people with 'friends' and dilute the single player experience.
I just want to be me, me and my Chewnicorns damn it. They're the only friends I need.
jsn @ May 13th 2008 12:49PM
it was a good game, but too simple. HOpefully they'll find a way to up the challenge for more..seasoned gamers.. and still keep it easy enough for the core audience.
jsn @ May 13th 2008 12:48PM
wha wha wha whaaat?? I thought the 360 wasn't supposed to have any games this year, The Year of the PS3. unpossible! I would assume most of these will actually be released in 08 too...
tmacairjordan87 @ May 13th 2008 1:20PM
I dunno the only one that appears to be a true AAA game so far is gears 2. Banjo 3 and too human are toss ups for now, we just don't know enough and viva pinata 2....well we all know how that will turn out.
Phranctoast @ May 13th 2008 1:38PM
You are trying way to hard for a "list war".
Evan @ May 13th 2008 1:09PM
CRAP! The video confirms Banjo-Kazooie will be a vehicle game, and the classic platforming game fans have been hoping for.
Why would Rare make a vehicle game? All they are going to do is alienate fans of the original games.
xFenixKnightx @ May 13th 2008 2:07PM
IGN just posted a preview of the game. Check it out and it will probably change your feelings on it. I put a summary of most of the preview here. Or just click to read the full story yourself.

"To say that Banjo has completely abandoned its traditional platformer roots wouldn't quite be accurate. Our hero may have lost most of his moves in favor of his new toys, but he still has a trick or two up his sleeve. He can lift things up with Mumbo, climb poles, shimmy across tight ropes, grab onto ledges and hop around like a madman, to name a few of his talents. These will come into play more in the larger hub worlds.
Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts looks fantastic. The vibrant and beautifully crafted style is instantly appealing, but the full weight of Banjo's look isn't felt until you see it in motion. Physics commands everything and the engine has the chops to back it up. The interactions with the environment are great (just watch Banjo's idle animation on a soft surface to watch him slowly tamp a shallow footprint into the surface). It's the vehicle physics that make this game so special.
Banjo-Kazooie Nuts and Bolts is looking like Microsoft's first real success in expanding its first party offerings beyond the action and shooter genres. This is a game that all gamers can get behind. It looks wonderful, handles great, and has a hook that everyone from the most casual to most hardcore can lose themselves in. It's been kept a secret for a long time, but the wait was worth it and it's almost over. Banjo returns this November as the perfect way to keep your blood pressure down in between bouts with Gears of War 2."
Evan @ May 13th 2008 4:50PM
Thanks. I guess I'll have to reserve judgement until I can play a demo. None the less, the game went from a slam-dunk buy to a cautious wait-and-see.
Vcize @ May 13th 2008 2:43PM
Too....many....games. Need....more....time.
Pedro Monscooch @ May 13th 2008 3:08PM
