Fanswag Weekly: McFarlane Halo 3 Warthog

After two solid McFarlane Halo 3 giveaways comes news that this week will be the final installation 05 sponsored Fanswag Weekly. Tear. But before we get into the details, we want to congratulate bigmac375 for winning last week's Brute Chopper giveaway. We're sure it'll accompany his Big Daddy figure quite nicely. Now onto this week's giveaway goods.

This week we're giving away a McFarlane replica of one of the most iconic Halo vehicle of them all ... a Warthog. That's right, this week we're giving out one McFarlane Halo 3 Warthog in all its vehicular glory. Want to win it? Simply follow the rules below, enter the giveaway and pray on the lucky stars that you're lucky enough to be randomly selected.

To enter, comment on this post telling us why you think the Warthog is either Halo's best or worst vehicle when it comes to combat scenarios. Do you love it for its back mounted turret of death or do you despise its tendency to flip over? Be opinionated and honest.

Oh man, Warthog is legend. There's a guy in our clan that practiced solely with the Hog, letting all his other skills in the game die horribly, squealing deaths just so he could pilot his gunner to +70 kill/death spreads.

It's craziness served on a lead-filled bun. I can't drive the Halo 3 version of it at all, though, it seem to always flip over at the slightest difference in terrain. A pebble? OH NO. Say hello to the gaping chasm at the edge of StandOff. :(

Its awesome BECAUSE it flips over so much.

Its at least a double kill maybe a triple kill waiting to happen but i love its killing power. I just miss the deathmachine it was in the beta

the warthog easily takes the #1 spot for vehicles in Halo due to it's removable turrest and 3 person capacity. For your manslaughter needs, choose the warthog

Warthog rocks. A good pair of players in it can cause some serious damage.

I call driver! The warthog is the best vehicle hands down. If used properly, you could easily wipe out a whole grip of rivals :-)

The best vehicle and the most balanced because every vehicle in Halo since has been horrible or a death machine just waiting to be hit with one of 50 anti-vehicle weapons.

I love the Warthog not because im good with em, but because i love throwing grenades at em. Theres nothing more rewarding than throwing a grenade in its path and watching the carnage. Of course sticking one with a sticky grenade is just as rewarding, but doesnt give me that full feel of satisfaction.

There's nothing better than power sliding over an entire team. Even if it's yours!

I like that fact that when it does flip and you're gunner, the entire weight of the 'hog is placed on your cranium.

Nothing better than sliding into a group of grunts and hearing their cries. Good Times.

The only way the 'hog could be improved upon is if you mounted the turret from a Scorpion on the back of it.

It's easily the best vehicle in the game, but only under two conditions. You must have a competent driver, this is most important. You must have a semi-competent gunner, someone who can stay on a target despite the turning of the driver. When you have a competent driver and a competent gunner you can wreck an entire team.

Warthog is my favorite ride. Nothing else works better in escorting your team's flag carrier.

Best! The driving mechanics are insane. Way better than trying to "turn the wheels". Just point and it goes. Tail wagging all over the place. There's a turret? SPLATTER KILL FTW!

The puma is awesome but only if there's a good driver. It makes more of a difference than a good gunner.

If it wasn't prone to tipping it would be TOO powerful. I think they nailed the balance.

Once you get past the learning curve it is supreme.

i love it in ctf when you can just ferry the flag carrier back and forth

It's just alright for me. A little tippy like my Jeep, but the counterweighted machine gun turret does provide some nice balancing to overcome it.

more so i hate players that don't wait untill all spots are filled on it before drving off

It's really quite grand however to fully assess the prowess of the vehicle I'd need a small replica to drive with my fingers.

It's the 35-point turns that annoy me. Otherwise it gets th ejob done...

The warthog is fun to drive and kill with when your just playing around; like GTA my favorite part is running people down. I don't like the warthog for serious game play during slayer matches though, or the ghost. It's newb style and cheapens the game play.

well if it's the gauss warthog there's no question about why it's so awesome in a combat scenario. single shot kills! in that sense its the best

however the regular warthogs are good because you get the mobility of a vehicle along with the firepower of two people, one of which is using a really big gun. i wouldn't say it's the best. but it's not the worst either.

but if i have to be opinionated. ZOMG TEH WRTHAWG IS LAME. AMIRITE. IT R PWND BY NETHING INCLDNG PLAZMA PISTL LOLZ

On a round of King of the Hill, a dude sat in the warthog turret in the hill, earning points. So I hopped in the driver's seat and drove him out of the hill.

It's the best vehicle when you have a competent team mate to operate the gun. It's the worst when you are alone, because it's little more than transport.

Now, onto the prize. This is cool, but I want a mongoose!!!!

They need to do a Double XP weekend which simply rotates the maps with Warthogs. Slayer or Objective, doesn't matter.

With me in the seat and my boy on the turret there aint no stopping us...Unless you got a laser.

I love the warthog for it's speed and passenger room.
