Zelda is the best one I can remember.

I'm about to walk into that temple for the last time to take on the final boss. Such a strange spot to suddenly be over a game.

This is my situation: http://backloggery.com/main.php?user=sabrecat

But starting this thing up has inspired me to start working on the backlog. New personal rule: only buy one new game for every two I finish!

That's actually really awesome. I've been thinking about doing that myself recently (didn't know there was a site that'd do it for me).

I probably have hundreds of games, and very few of them I've really finished.

Phoenix Wright (blasphemy, I know). I got through the our main cases, but was pretty sick of all the reading, and re-reading, and pointing, and clicking, and most of the characters by the end of it. I'm about halfway through the last case, and even thinking about starting it up again makes my blood boil. I'll probably end up giving it away to somebody.

Zelda PH is that game.

I love that game. The new gameplay mechanics is not the problem. I love the characters and ship stuff. I love treasure finding aspect of it. It is just those damn repeat trips to the Temple of the Ocean King. WTF!!! It is making me go thru the same place to find stuff and it is getting on my nerves. Oh yeah and he is one thing Zelda needs: sneak missions. Great that is wonderful. I've never played Link to the Past or Ocarina of Time and said, this would be more fun with sneaking missions. Oh yeah and escort missions. As if we need more of that in Zelda. It was like Nintendo was keeping me from loving this game. Oh well, I'll sit it out until I feel the need to pick up again or i'll sell it.

Unlike most gamers, I loved the Temple in Phantom Hourglass. It provided a much-needed rush in that game. Finding new, faster ways to travel into the depths of the temple was truly exhilarating.

I have tons of games in the unfinished pile, several of which have sequels coming soon. I need to finish Shiren the Wanderer, Etrian Odyssey and Lunar Knights. I'm currently working on The World Ends With You. I don't think I'm going to worry about finishing FFIII or Izuna because I think FFIV will be better than III and Izuna 2 will most likely surpass Izuna.

I think, for me, Advance Wars: Dual Strike is the one which I'll never finish, although I want to. It's just that I'm not into strategies(although I love RPGs, which for me, can be quite similar in pace), and after all those reviews, comments and screenshots about it being so good and "something else" , I thought I'll give it a try. It really seemed different, and although it's not a conventional strategy game, it still takes a lot of time(to finish a stage), and it also started to get (for me) very hard from the middle.

I loved PH. Once I discovered I could shoot the knights to get rid of them, those Temple visits became a relative breeze.

I've traded/sold most of the stuff I never finished. Just two days ago I finally got back to finishing the campaign in Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. I guess Picross could count, but I never considered that a game that needed to be finished to enjoy...I just do a couple puzzles whenever I get the urge.

Zelda, FFIII, Contact, and Phoenix Wright. I got a bad habit of playing new games for about a month or so straight, then I get bored and start something new. I just pulled FF III out yesterday and realised I am about 70-80% of the way through. Hopefully I will finish it before going back to TWEWY

For those who are tired of the Ocean Temple in Zelda, stick it out and eventually you'll get a sword that can kill the phantoms. Then it becomes oh so satisfying.

I haven't picked up Pokemon in a while because I'm almost ready to fight the Elite Four, but I need to find some way to teach one of my Pokemon Earthquake before I go ahead and do it.

I just finished the Phoenix Wright trilogy, so now I'm playing Contact; it's cute so far, we'll see how it goes!

I've got more than a few.

Etrian Odyssey, Shiren, Trauma Center: Under the Knife, Professor Layton, Honeycomb Beat, Hotel Dusk...

I've been better about it lately, though—Honeycomb is halfway there, recently finished Picross, Layton is at three-quarters, and I'm currently blazing through Touch Detective 2.5 during lunch breaks. Whew!

I actually liked the Ocean temple. It was annoying at parts, but I liked going back and getting shortcuts with new items. I even redid the beginning part to get a better time to the place where you teleport. Plus, as others have said, killing the phantoms becomes really satisfying. I thought the hardest part was at the end where you have to fight some phantoms, but I even kinda liked that, I felt like it was a test of my skill and whether I could take the last boss. The fight is epic, although I thought the boss itself was a bit of a let-down.

There are quite a few DS games to choose from. The ones that bother me, though, are Drawn to Life and Puzzle Quest. The second Phoenix Wright game is also unfinished, but I only like to play that game when I have a long-ish period of uninterrupted gaming time.

I, actually have NO backlog. When I get a new game, I just devour it of every nook and cranny until there is nothing left to find.

As for Phantom Hourglass, that game was especially tasty. I just couldn't put it down. I tried, but couldn't.

I was doing so well for a while also...
I stopped about 70% through pokemon, I'm part-way through Puzzle Quest, more then 50% done with Geometry Wars, and stuck near the end of Picross.

Besides these, I've been pretty good at finishing up games... besides contact. I gave up on having to farm up gold.

I've been replaying the New Super Mario Bros which is fun but painfully short.

Mario 64. I've got 120 stars and was about to get to Bowser when I just got tired of it and put it down. One of these days I'll actually finish it. Yeah I know, I suck.

Also add me to the list of people who actually liked the Temple of the Ocean King in Phantom Hourglass. It added tension and difficulty that the game really needed.

I think it's more of a question of what games people *do* complete. According to my Gamepedia, I have 524 current gen games... and out of them I've finished a grand total of eight (nine if you count Portal as it's own game). Almost all of them are for the DS. I just don't understand where anyone over the age of twenty five gets the free time for most modern games... I've played GTAIV for ten hours since it came out and I'm only 5% finished according to the pause menu! And if I set down a game for a while due to work or family stuff, most of the time I come back and either forget my objective or forget the skillset required to play. I need more games that can be played in a single weekend. That's probably why Super Metroid and Shiren suck up most of my free time.

At 130-some odd hours into Pokemon Pearl I still haven't managed to beat the Elite 4, much less get into the content that opens up afterwards. I'd make a third attempt at it, but World Ends With You keeps telling me "seven more days" when I think about taking it out of the DS.

Same here. I started Diamond in May 1, last year and only now am I at Victory Road. And I clocked in 80+ hours to boot. I blamed the whole two Strategy Guides debacle though as would like one whole guide for Pokemon and the walkthrough. I'm trying to finish before the Darkrai event!!

I was starting to get a backlog so I made a new "only buy a new game as long as I finshed one" system. It worked out okay as I ended up finishing three games in one week.

I finished The World Ends With You, the Phoenix Wright series and I'm trying to get through Hotel Dusk. Zelda PH, I ended up dropping for a bit because of that dratted "draw the triforce" thing. Don't get me wrong. I can draw it in one line.... But it's so hard to get the game to recognize it. >.>

Oh boy. Most of my games are unfinished I'm afraid.

Insecticide: got stuck on the FPS chapter where you need to use mines
Picross: like the game (played it over a decade ago), didn't like the interface/controls
Nervous Brickdown: about 2/3 through I think; I'll finish this someday
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time: got fed up with all the platform hopping
Heroes of Mana: RTS is not the genre for me; only bought it because it's Seiken Densetsu
Diddy Kong Racing: I just want to race dangit, not fly a plane in 3D with 2D controls
Nanostray: mondo cool game, but I can't even get past the first level
Kirby Canvas Curse: just didn't grab my interest
Scurge Hive: nice, but the characters are a little too tiny and the action too hectic for me
Tales of Phantasia (GBA): even with a ridiculous amount of overlevelling I kept getting killed by those damn lizards in the elf forest
Zelda: A Link to the Past: already finished it on the (emulated) SNES
