New monster-fied screens, videos from Hellboy: Science of Evil
Second only to falling on his rear in front of colossal beasts, Hellboy is best when he's digging his demonic fist into smaller creatures. Check out these new Hellboy: Science of Evil screens for more punching goodness. Hellboy is coming June 24 on PlayStation 3, PSP and Xbox 360.

Painfully awful and overall boring movie franchise translates into good game?
It's possible.

I love HellBoy. I've already planned on getting this game once I heard about it. It's not based off the movies (which I love), it's based off the comics.
HellBoy is unique, quarkey and appeals to me. Gotta love the good times.
HellBoy II out on my birthday this summer! (7/11)

Textures, lighting and environment look pretty nice, but the problem is most possibly the way the game was designed in the first place: it's spatially linear, actions look repetitive and feel heavy, and since there's nothing really to do except to crush enemies between point A to point B, not even the enemies are impressive nor challenging.
It looks like a decent effort, but it seems like rewardless grinding.

Agreed, ThornedVenom (and this coming from longtime Hellboy fan)...I really wanted this game to be good. It reminds me a lot of mass enemy grinding games a la Dynasty Warriors & Otogi 1&2. But less mass of enemies. Even the audio is spacious. Very empty videos, IMO.

Hellboy's one of those few properties out there where people either love it or hate it, and this thread seems to prove it. Regardless of the 'haters, I can't wait to try the game. :]
