I think MGS is like the star wars prequels (and maybe the new indiana jones movie).

I KNOW that it's likely to disappoint me (with its gameplay) but I can't help but keep getting excited when I see the trailers.

I'm so weak willed, I'll get all hyped again, only to have my expectations dashed anew.
(but Indy4 had better not fail me!!!)

360 won't be getting this, just like PS3 won't be getting Halo3.

You would have to be a retard to not want to buy a PS3 for this, and all the other great PS3 exclusives.

It would be a very difficult port, this game isn't like, say, Half Life 2, its connected to PS3 in practically every way possible.

The PSN, Home, The Sixxaxis controller, it has a little PS3 joypad in the game (unimportant, but I doubt a 360 gamer would want to see that there), its connected to PSP (as far as I last heard), there was all this hype for the game being a PS3 saviour or something when you play Metal Gear Acid and look at the cgi videos, konami would look like asses if they ported after I saw those videos, it uses the harddrive, it uses the bluray disks, and from what we heard, they weren't even enough.

And I'm sure thats not all, I'm not saying the chance of a port is 0%, but I am saying the port would require a complete overhaul, heck, if they were to port this, they would have had to have been working on it already, because by the time this releases on 360, people would have moved on, MGS5 would be in production and nobody would much care any more.

Production costs as we already know were high for this game, it would have to proove beneficial going through more time and effort putting together a port, and then they would still need 100% guarantee that 360 gamers would actually buy it over the likes of Gears 2, Halo wars.

I know for sure that once I buy it for PS3, I will have no intention in buying it again, and I'm pretty sure that despite what 360 gamers say about buying it if it came out on 360, lets say it did, but Gears 2, Bioshock 2 and Halo wars were out, would you still consider it over them? I doubt it.

But heres an idea, if you don't wanna buy a PS3 to play it, find someone who has a PS3 and the game and play theirs :) Alternatively, stop winging and do what I did, buy the bloody console so you never miss out on good games on either ¬_¬

The only next-gen system I own is an Xbox 360. However, if you think that this game is coming to 360, you're delusional.

Let me put this in perspective. Metal Gear Solid 4 is crammed in a 50GB dual-layer Blu-Ray disc. Crammed. That is, they compressed the data to the point of extremes. Even Japanese voice-overs were taken out of the game due to lack of space.

The max size of a DVD (the Xbox 360's media)at dual-layer is about 8GB. That's 7 discs.

So,the game will "rule if it's on the 360",but it apparently being the exact same game, won't in fact rule on another system?

Whaaaaaa?

This is the greatest game, period. Everything else coming out this year pales in comparison. When I start up MGS4 I will remember the cinematic moments that as a child I took into more appreciation with MGS1 on the PS1 then some adult that would spend his time reviewing it after he played then having the time to really get a experience.
