name123, "Banjo Kazooie - One of the worst Mario clones ever." is very wrong. Banjo Kazooie and Tooie were better then Super Mario 64 in a lot of ways. Even if it borrowed ideas (which it didn't, because they were being developed at the same time. Banjo was supposed to be at launch)

And for the record, I think the new Banjo game looks rubbish. Give me a traditional platformer any day, the 360 is crying out for one!

Socom is nothing like COD4, :S why do people keep comparing them?

If you want to compare it to something, compare it to Ghost Reacon.

And on the case of Wipeout, the PSP version was superb, the difference is they have severely cleaned this one up.

I think people compare SOCOM to CoD4 because they both involve teams of soldiers shooting each other in face in an online environment. Maybe.

Also, I didn't say Wipeout was shit or anything- I own 2097 on the Saturn- but it is still a port of the PSP games, cleaned up or not. What I'm saying is, it is hardly a system seller!

What is derivative about resistence 2? What console game is it deriving 60 person squad based online matches with dedicated servers and 8 player level generating parallel campaign story co-op? Please enlighten us. Insomniac is arguably one of the most talented developers, and without question, along with naughty dog, the best PS3 developer. This game looks incredible, and the online looks phenomenal.. Please enlighten us, how is this derivative of gears? Aren't they different genre's all together, fps vs 3rd person?

SOCOM has a HUGE following. Maybe people will want to play a new game rather than a year old game at that point (Not to put cod4 down ....cuz I love it).

Resistance sounds like it will be the best MP game ever made. 60 player maps with individual objectives for small groups within your team. Hopefully they get the voice chat working so your always talking to just that squad...

The biggest problem with Wipeout HD is that its not out yet. While its a port, it looks far from it. It might as be its own game.

We'd say wipeout wasn't a system seller wouldn't we, but then, neither of us have played it to make that decision for the game.

I thought the same about Siren, but I knew SOCOM was going to be retail (or retail/psn like warhawk). Rumor is it comes with a headset, which looks pretty good. The jabra that came with Warhawk works, but it seems to pick up too much noise from the room.

mine did that too trev, but I think you can change the mic level from the XMB

Last I heard, it was exactly like Warhwak's business model. Retail for $60 with headset, $40 on PSN
